The Monopoly isn't over, but the Honeymoon is.
When Rick Neuheisel gave his traditional postgame pep talk to the UCLA football fans from the sidelines Saturday night, I was walking down through the opposite stands, but I stopped to listen, because he sounded so futile and he seemed so alone.
I only heard half of it. The rest was drowned out by boos.
"We will get (booooo). ... We will (booooo). …You can't get any farther down than (booooo). ..."
The legendary charm is wearing thin. The resilient smile is fooling nobody. The few folks who stayed until the end of the Bruins' 35-0 loss to Stanford had seen enough, and could hear no more.
"Stop talking and win a game!" shouted one.

Ouch!
I am sure some will call this article a cheap shot…
"What have they figured out?" "NOTHING." Lane Kiffin
"Mention USC to a Bruin and they get angry; mention UCLA to a Trojan and they laugh."
They are circling the wagons around Rick
Just calling for improvement and competitiveness. No more talk about number of wins. Funny how that works.

The funny thing is, Newhizel is saying the exact same things after games that Karl Dorrell did: “we are working hard,” “we are improving,” etc. And even more, after each game there are about a dozen “correctible mistakes” or positive learning experiences.
Dorrell was hung in effigy by the bn folks for that. Newhizel is being called some sort of visionary.
Top it all off with the bn guys now talking up these moral victories and strong efforts, when they’d go into some semi-psychotic embolism during the Dorrell years.
Those Uclol hypocrites are just crazy!
Hey, Ucla -
1. Get your own colors
2. Get your own fight song
3. GET A REAL BEAR!
I like the person who said "stop talking and win a game"-----------Priceless
Yes the Slick is and will be getting it back now in his face.

I saw where some BNers were complaining about the Dee, not the right players.
Well 80% of Dorralls players are gone and these are the Weasels kids, I guess some don’t pay attention.

Over half the team is Ricks
They tried blaming Ty Willingham in Notre Dame for Weis’ disastrous 4th year on the job. That didn’t work out so well. Year 3 should have been a solid one for Rick and company, and they are thin at O-Line, and their QB still sucks. Neuheisel is a QB, and Chow is a QB guru. They should have been able to get someone in 3 years, and now it looks like finally they have a good recruit coming in. The question is whether or not that same coaching staff will be there for this kid during his entire stay at Westwood.
Westwood will never get it Frak USC is a FB school and they are BB and TITLE 9!

JUst reading some guys comment on BN about ucla only having 56,000.
He noted that USC had 80+ and he hated that fact, then he went on to say that USC is only playing for pride and fans still come out. Well thats the difference between tradition and and a school without one. What he doesn’t get is that it’s a football season and regardless the the outcome and overall record they play the games.
As a fan I don’t care if the team goes to a Championship or a bowl game, I just happen to like FB and that team. If USC wins thats great and if they make it entraining by scoring a lot of points thats a plus if they don’t thats defense. Really does it matter if your team outdraws the other one, don’t you go to the game for fun and spirit. Everyone thought in the media, other pac-10 teams fans, that because USC was on probation that the USC fans wouldn’t show up WRONGGGGG. Even the media saying 4-5 times a game that there aren’t hollywood types on the sidelines just players, coaches and staff. That also shows the we can’t believe the fans still come out and they want to show someone a negative about USC.

ucla isn't playing for anything either
They should play for pride before championships. They have been embarrassing themselves and their fans every year.
Exactly--------But for all the smarts they just don't get it.

I like ucla's new ad campaign this year in the LA Slimes
“The team you love, to love.
