And for the first time in a long time- it's not SEC heavy in the top 15.

All I can say is: HALLELUJAH! And what's beautiful about this season's pre-season poll- they've got two teams representing the non-BCS qualifying schools in the top 10 (Boise State & TCU). Now, after last season's bowl games, I predicted a Boise State run towards the BCS Championship game. Afterall- they return something like THEIR ENTIRE team of starters (not really, it just seems like it). TCU and Boise State are damn good teams. Way to go Coaches!

For what it's worth- those experts at WhinyNations can just can just drink a large can of  "Shut The Hell Up" (hat tip to MattDaddy! - I first read that one from you, a few days ago over at ATQ). The 4-blockletters got ABSOLUTELY NO VOTES in the pre-season poll. Hey fUcla! The coaches are obligated to NOT INCLUDE us in the poll- that's a fact and it's our excuse. What's yours? Couldn't be that coach you've got who doesn't even have more wins at this point than his predecessor did? Hint: it's your schedule, your awful QB and O-line, and the fact that your team probably won't break even this year. But hey! Winning your bowl game against a team that didn't even belong to a conference for 2 seasons (2005 & 2006 seasons- due to poor attendance averages, non-competitiveness, and a lack of commitment to the football program from university officials) is A REAL METRIC FOR PROGRESS! Go BIG FAT LIAR! Go COMPULSIVE GAMBLER! (Slick Rick, ah- how I love your kinda schadenfreude. i truly do!)

For what it's worth- our Pac 10 representatives in the top-25 are: Oregon at #11 & Oregon State at #22. Thankfully- LSU, Arkansas, Georgia, and Auburn are out of the top 15 and put from #'s 16 through 23. Finally, those idiot coaches or their minions have put the SEC on notice that they aren't just gonna be HANDED THE DAMN CRYSTAL BALL this year.

Now that USC is out of contention for the BCS game- Go Boise State Bucking Broncos! Yahoooooooooo!
