I'll believe when I hear it from an SC source, but wow if true

There is only one possible reason to leave Heritage Hall for a mid-tier SEC program in, gulp, are you kidding me, Knoxville. Playing time, pure and simple. Maybe Malik is disappointed that his brother couldn’t gain admittance too. But, Malik was clearly behind Armond and Nick at DE, and Tenn probably promised him a starting job.

Again, this is a rumor in my book until confirmed by anyone other than ESPiN.

FWIW, D-end is probably Tennessee's deepest and strongest position on the field.

I can’t imagine there was any promise of playing time. That having been said, much of the depth is in the form of seniors, so there should be plenty of opportunity in 2011 at the very least.

I don't know your threshold of confirmation, but the UT Rivals guy is reporting it too.

He’s probably the most reliable one around here. Chris Low of ESPN also lives in Knoxville, but again, ESPN. As far as quotes directly from the program? Not yet. Given that it’s Eastern Time over here, I wouldn’t expect anything tonight.

Malik WHOOOOOOOO

So Fight On USC followers and Don’t worry WE Will Still Play on Saturdays and Bowls will come later, for WE ARE SC not That other Softball University. Oh and don’t say you now have a baseball team, it’s not Real Baseball unless you use Wooden Bats.
