Conferences Consider Expansion, Not Tradition - Pete Thamel
This is an interesting piece by Thamel.
For years the Pac-10 and Big 10 were chastised for not getting on board with the BCS, conference championships and keeping the Rose Bowl Tradition etc.
With Larry Scott's new vision and energy, this will shake some things up...tradition will get left at the side of the road for new TV contracts, a possible Pac-10 TV channel and who knows what WRT a CFB playoff...
Doesn't matter to me...2 teams or 6, I just like that he is being aggressive and thinking out of the box...I would rather he try and fail than do nothing and hold onto old traditions that need some juicing up.

Back in 1971 my Dad bought a Chevelle SS with an 8 Track player; the demo tape contained “White Rabbit.” He was so appalled he asked if we could go through my record collection together to make sure I didn’t have any of the Airplane’s records. Good times, good times…
