Here is a pretty decent read from San Diego on how the lives of some of the main players connected to the Bush Mess are fairing...
Asked for comment on the USC penalties, Bush’s mother. Denise Griffin, replied this week:
"Everybody’s saying what they want to say, and it’s so negative. I don’t know if we want to (comment). For what? We tell the story right and they (the media) put in what they want people to know, and they switch the story around and all kind of stuff. We experienced that even when things were going good. It just kind of sucks all around."
Asked if LaMar Griffin would like to dispute anything about what’s been reported, she said. "At this point I don’t think he cares, but I will talk to him and talk to some other people. We’ll see."
Many USC fans blame LaMar Griffin for this mess. Griffin, who previously worked as a security guard at Morse High, had encountered financial difficulties before cash and benefits were made available to him from aspiring agents. If he had refused them until Bush turned pro, they could have avoided NCAA violations.
Griffin has kept a low profile since the media reported on the house in April 2006. The family moved to a three-bedroom rental house in Chula Vista, about 11 miles from the house in Spring Valley. Yet money issues have continued for LaMar Griffin. On June 17, a $2,993 judgment was entered against him in court for unpaid rent at an apartment he leased last year in El Cajon.
Denise Griffin still works as a sheriff’s deputy in the San Diego courts.
All that money and and LaMar still can't pay his bills?
It makes you wonder just what the relationship is between Reggie and his parents. Denise Griffin's comments above are intriguing as well. Does she realy have to ask ho LaMar feels about all of this? You mean she doesn't already know.
What a sad family this is...
