2010 NBA Draft Open Thread
With the 2010 NBA Draft set to begin a little after 4:30 P.M. PST, it's time to kick off our official draft open thread. In case you've missed any of our draft coverage from earlier in the week., we strongly encourage you to check it out now as we've discussed the chances USC's graduating seniors, Mike Gerrity, Marcus Johnson, and Dwight Lewis, get their names called tonight.
- USC/NBA Draft Preview from former Daily Trojan columnist and Wizards fan Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz. He's likely doing the "John Wall Dance" as I type.
- A Q&A with SB Nation's NBA Draft Blog Ridiculous Upside regarding the likelihood The Big Three get selected in today's second round and the NBA future of incoming junior forward/center Nikola Vucevic.
- An update on the teams Dwight Lewis has worked out for.
The odds may be slim either Gerrity, Johnson, or Lewis, gets selected tonight, but heck, why not take in the draft with your fellow Trojan fans. Hope you enjoy the event, and feel free to share your thoughts on all-things basketball related in the comments section.
If you can't get enough of me, then I encourage you to follow me on twitter @Joey_Kaufman for more updates throughout the Draft.

Of course
They’re hoping for Jerome Randle to be drafted, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a USC fan who doesn’t want to punch that 5’0" punk in the face.

And if you need examples of more brilliance from ESPN
They just played Michael Buble in the Draft intro.

The first trade in the books
Chicago trades Kirk Hinrich and the No. 17 overall pick to Washington in order to clear cap space to make a run at LeBron and Bosh.

Doesn't appear as if there is any doubt that John Wall will go No. 1 to Washington

Jersey's draft should be interesting...
"Mention USC to a Bruin and they get angry; mention UCLA to a Trojan and they laugh."
Can we call Calipari teams Point Guard U?
For 3 consecutive years, Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans, and John Wall, all the first PG guard taken in the draft

Plus...
The Knicks are likely going to lose David Lee if LBJ signs. I don’t who would “complement” him on that team.

Wesley Johnson has one of the worst suits I've ever seen.
He was just selected by Minnesota. Too bad T-wolves didn’t draft another PG.

not a bad career...
"Mention USC to a Bruin and they get angry; mention UCLA to a Trojan and they laugh."
With all his talent
He really underachieved. Didn’t really develop until he got to Detroit, and even then, it was a little too little too late. Wasted too many years in Baltimore and Portland.

Eric Bledsoe taken by OKC at No.18
People so enamored with Wall, for good reasons, that they forget about this kid. He’s quite skilled as well. A steal at 18.

I’ve watched a handful of Kentucky games, all I saw from Bledsoe was speed. No D, and he has a weak shot.
by Julio Nievas on Jun 24, 2010 6:38 PM PDT up reply actions
I think his shot will improve. That's something you can easily work on.
Calipari produces NBA-ready guards. I’m not saying Bledsoe is going to be an all-star, but I think he’s got a chance to be real good.

One of the tragedies of the Pac-16 plan is that it would have killed the Big XII as a hoops conference, which is a great conference.
