Around SBN: Stan Van Gundy Fired As Head Coach Of The Magic

Not a huge surprise that they ended up in UCLA, but it would have been nice to have landed two 6'10" centers nonetheless.

They're twins because they're twice as soft

This just means he couldn’t put those scholies to better use, elite players are staying away from fucla. Poor Howland just lined himself up to lose more hair.

Still LOCO after all these years

All hail Augustus Kiffin!

If elite players are staying away from UCLA

why are Josh Smith and Tyler Lamb coming to be Bruins?

The Wears may have been soft as freshmen at Carolina, but my guess is that after one year off and then getting going in 2011, they are going to be pretty solid pick-ups. Just a guess, but I am sure O’Neill would have been happy to get one, let alone both.

KO passed

we are deep at bigs. our need is guards. the Wears have proven not to be elite players. another sign that the basketball monopoly in Westwood is forever gone.

Good to see your sense of humor remains intact

regardless of need, quality bigs are hard to find-and while neither was an “elite” in their freshman years, I feel pretty safe in predicting that at least one of them will be a very solid contributor.

The basketball monopoly in Westwood ended in 1975. I don’t know anyone in 2010 who thinks otherwise.

Well I for one have watch those two play since they were sophmores at MDHS, wasn't impressed then not know

Gary McNight has never had to many players make an impact after hs, just doesn’t help them grow. I didn’t care about them playing at NC and don’t really care about them at ucla, they haven’t got PF skills or center.

Well basically John Wooden was and is a FRAUD, by the way where is Sammy Gilbert Ben needs some ballers.
