Per Schefter
Brian Cushing took and passed a lie-detector test to prove he was not guilty of taking a PED. Yet his four-game suspension still stands.

Odd, but sounds okay

They're going to revote.

It is possible Cushing could still receive the award, as he had won the vast majority (about 80%) of votes the first time around. Only three other players received votes; they are the most likely candidates to replace him: Jaius Byrd, Brian Orakpo, and… Clay Matthews.

Wow I guess they will be revoting everything now, kind of like some guy is dead and they say well I heard this about him so lets revote.

I guess after the lakers won tonight they should maybe replay the whole series, because the Utah fans are saying Fisher lied.

Well basically John Wooden was and is a FRAUD and where is Sammy Gilbert Ben needs some ballers.

How funny would it be if Clay won?

I hope Cush makes a statement along the lines of, “I play football to win as a team. I don’t care about individual awards.” Or, something like that. Seriously, a stupid award from the idiot AP voters? Who cares?

Yeah

They are the same fuckers who voted Alabam #1 in 1978, even though we beat them 24-14 in Birmingham. We won the UPI title. Ever since that year I have always referred to the AP as the Asshole Press.

If he did it

He deserves to have his award pulled.

HCG, according to AP

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/nfl/texans/2010-05-11-brian-cushing-substance_N.htm

It’s a fertility drug that isn’t itself a steroid, but can be used with steroids. This is exactly what happened with Manny Ramirez.

I'm guessing that

HCG is a fertility drug that women use.

I think it is used as a masking agent.

A Natural Hormone that Increases Testosterone Production

a good article from eSECpn. very surprising to me that he test positive in Sept, was clean the rest of the season, and it takes until May for the NFL to issue punishment. also kind of shoots down the argument that his stats last season were inflated, since he was clean for at least 75% of the season. plus, the HCG levels were so minor that they would not have triggered a positive a few years ago.

Seems like a lot of these guys get juiced

sign the contract, then stop taking the roids. Once the contract is firmly in hand, they have not a whole lot to gain and a lot to lose if they get caught. Adrian Beltre is a prime example.

I think you're right

I wonder if they first get tested in Sept, or if they get tested earlier, like the combines or rookie camp or something. I am thinking that they can’t get drafted until after they sign as they are not yet employees. So, I agree. I bet many juice up through the combines, then taper down before Sept.
