Gib Arnold May Not Be Unemployed For Long

Yesterday, USC assistant Gib Arnold, who was originally hired by Tim Floyd was let go by first year head coach Kevin O'Neill after the Trojans finished the 2009-2010 season with a 16-14 overall mark. But according to the Orange County Register, it doesn't look as if Arnold will be out of job for very long.

Soon-to-be-former USC assistant Gib Arnold is a candidate for the coaching job at Hawaii, according to The Honolulu Advertiser.

Arnold and fellow assistant Phil Johnson are not being retained by Kevin O'Neill, who kept them on staff after being hired in late June last year.

The school has not clarified their status officially, but I've been able to confirm through independent sources that Arnold and Johnson won't be back.

I think he will be a successful HC. Hope he gets the Hawaii job.
