Yea, I saw that Stewart Mandel tweeted that. Really informative piece and well thought out.

for a change...
"Mention USC to a Bruin and they get angry; mention UCLA to a Trojan and they laugh."
Wilner pisses me off at times
but, on a relative basis, he is easily one of the best sports journalists on the west coast. one of the few that I would even call a journalist. excellent piece.
Is this his piece on the whole "1/12th or 1/10th payout" for teams. . .
. . . .in the Pac 10- as far as what’s better for each team in the revenue sharing? If it is, I read it over at Wiz Of Odds blog recently.
Wilner is a decent journalist, unfortunately- he writes for that “little sister” rag “The Mercury News”. Not only that, he despises USC like no other. So, . . . . . .I HATE HIM AND HIS COMPANY! (there’s more. i grew up reading The Mercury- and trust me, I was and am a copious reader of news, sports, politics, and you name. Always have been)
It’s kinda like the way I feel about Bruins Nation. I will not give them anything remotely close my attention unless it is utterly necessary. I will not give him (Wilner) nor his paper/blog even a courtesy look-see unless I have to.
Didn’t that “1/12 or 1/10th” column on expansion which he wrote basically just say in his small-town way, “The Pac 10 is instructing new commish to increase revenue by 50% (greed) and do it in any creative way possible- except if it involves BYU”? (anti-religious bias, much?)
The comments to his article were way better than the article itself.
