You’re right, where’s ucla? Also how’d you like the little buckeye?

Why did it take me so long to read this?d

That’s some funny ass-shit! (recently decided to hyphenate the part of the word connected to -shit, instead of the correct way. for instance, “Smart” cars: “that’s a cool ass-car”)

Although I’m a true fan of the Crimson Tide, and have been since I was a boy- I have to say, without hesitation, that ALL FANS OF EVERY SINGLE TEAM IN THE SEC are comprehensive asshats when it comes to talking about college football. Even I become one when discussing the Tide. I’m just so lucky to have no interest in any other SEC team whatsoever. I’m still a capital prick when defending ‘Bama football, but that actually “works for me” when I find myself having to defend my unusual allegiance for the USC Trojans. The funniest thing is when discussing the Trojans with SEC fans. I’ve got that conference pretty much down, and to relate Trojan success and recount Trojan beatdowns on SEC teams is more than just a surprise to the average SEC or Bama fan. They seem to hate it when someone uses the “formulaic SEC logic” to argue points on football they don’t agree with. Once, someone told me in a comment thread, “Well, we have to be excused for our character flaws as fans and our expectations for our football team because we got something called ‘tradition’ .”

My response to that was, "You want tradition? Look no further than USC. The team you, self-admit, have no respect for whatsoever. Can we at least now admit that you can’t categorically explain why you think USC is a perennially “over-rated” team? That your opinion of USC is based purely on inexplicable hate?" (got no response from him after that, and has since not posted on that blog under his username. might have created a newer/alternate one though, i’m sure)

Two final points: The first being, although the write-up was pretty hilarious and the author’s intent was in no way malicious- the author just so happens to be a Washington Husky fan! (“Hey Pot? Kettle, here. Have you found a mirror yet? And what’s wrong with the color black anyway?”)

Most Husky fans think that Coach Don James is a saint. Like a lot of Bruin fans think Coach Wooden is beyond reproach. The fact of the matter is, although Washington had some pretty decent years under James- the Husky-faithful possess under disdain for all the Pacific Northwest universities and a barely tepid-degree of respect for USC. This despite USC’s utter dominance of the Pac 10 historically. I’m sure most Husky fans root for fUcla in our rivalry game. It serves them better, both empirically and emotionally. For this guy to call out Gators, Tigers, and Broncos- he might as well as be calling out his dad.

Secondly, the list wasn’t for “winners” only. If that’s the case, then why were the Oregon Ducks and Boise State Broncos on there? Just sayin’.

Loved the article, even though my two favorite teams’ fans were on it and one of ‘em actually won it. (i’m far from a redneck, but it is quite true that I can potentially raise some serious Cain whenever and wherever)

Great post, I still have a hard time with the 1978 NC, where we beat Alabama on the road 24-14 and then split the Championship with them.

Probably because they discounted the Ugla victory

LA Sports is what keep me off the streets and out of trouble, thanks to all the teams Rams, Dodgers, Lakers, USC sports and the Love of Tennis.
