This certainly doesn't sound good
I know that college athletics isn’t 100% free of steroids or PEDs but this is a bit troubling to see him say something as openly as he did. Like you said, I certainly hope he isn’t referring to anything that we think he is.

I will put money on that he was referring to other players taking protein, but still not gaining any mass. Granted it was a stupid thing to say, but I find it highly unlikely that he would just publicly announce that teammates were taking steroids or something like that.
Drinking so much that you forget your name is like trying to cure cancer, it might not be possible, but you should never stop trying.

If Gable wasn't specifically talking about steroid use
then he is way dumber with this comment than I thought he was.
