Looks like Trojan Mens Tennis team is starting off season with a bang!

Bumped - Nice to read about other USC sports other than football and basketball...P

The trojans national championship tennis team just won the ITA qualifying sectional to advance to the ITA finals in New Haven, Conn. These tournaments usually kick-off the tennis season in men's college tennis, with 16 teams ending up at New Haven. This years team is stronger than last years returning 90% of the players and adding a top juniors JT Sunling of Thousand Oaks, Joel Giger from Switzerland and Peter Lucassen of the Netherlands all top players. It is a good thing because the UCLA Bruins added Cal Berkleys # 1 player from last year and will be more competitive than last year, it should be a great match-up come March 3 at Westwood. Players to watch on this years team are Steven Johnson and Robert Farah ranked #1 and #14 nationally, Johnson being a soph might not stick around after this season moving on to the Pro Tour.
