Kobe is a Trojan - USC is "His School"

How did I miss this?

http://lakers.freedomblogging.com/2010/01/06/kobe-ive-adopted-usc-as-my-school/28029/

I hate to send them traffic, but you’ve GOT to read the comments under the Kobe USC shoe pic at BN. We “can’t root for the Lakers anymore.”

OMG, LOL!!!!!!!!!!! LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those were pretty funny!

Wahhhhhhh

Kobe roots for USC…I can’t root for the Lakers because he loves USC….

Wahhhhhhh

Unbelievable…people need to get a life…

That such Bull Shit!

Pardon, the language but it’s so ridiculous. I’m a USC/Laker fan and I have no trouble rooting for guys like Jordan Farmar or Trevor Ariza when he played for the Lakers. All that matters is whether they produce on the court and are decent human beings off the court. Seriously! Grow up you childish brats across town!

If I didn’t root for teams because they had Furds or Trojans or Bruins on them, I’d only be a fan of teams from Uzbekistan.

The environment over at BN is getting even more insane.

Truly amusing...

I didn’t think people could be so pathetically insecure and jealous, but I was wrong. Can’t wait to see Kobe on the sidelines this year in the Coli (and even better, the Rose Bowl).

Honestly, I would miss BN if it wasn't there

BTW...

I thought I knew all the Trojan/USC insults, but that the heck is a Trogan? There is a bird called an Elegant Trogan, but that’s all I know of….beautiful plumage!

by RunTravelerRun on Feb 18, 2010 4:30 PM PST reply actions

ON NSD...

Markeith Ambles twittered Go “Trogans” instead of Trojans after he sent in his LOI.

Sounds like a simple typo…so the 3rd graders over there ran with it.

With all the poor grammatical writing I have seen over there over the years they shouldn’t be talking…

by Paragon SC on Feb 18, 2010 4:35 PM PST up reply actions

Hmmm.

They are a witty bunch, aren’t they.

by RunTravelerRun on Feb 18, 2010 4:41 PM PST up reply actions

Definitely a Typo

With the new phones nowadays the “G” and “J” aren’t exactly miles apart. When you factor in the hand size of an athlete like Ambles, it’s certainly understandable that he may insert a G instead. I wouldn’t be so technical if it wasn’t for the clowns who continue to harass a high school kid.

Yeah there’s an idiot at Wolf’s Cesspool that is all over the “Trogan” theme.

I had a Red Lory for 10 years then we gave it to friends, this bird just flew into my parents back yard in Downey one day.

This is actually hard for me.

I’ve always despised the Lakers and I could never root for them but I’m a little bit endeared to Kobe now.

A quote from BN:

“Please explain how a member of the Bruins Nation can rationalize lending any support or positive karma to the once-proud laker (lower case intentional) organization. I would really be interested to hear the explanation.”

And my only response is, what world do these people live in!? When one of them has to work with an SC alumnus at their job, so they tell the guy to go f*** himself right in front of their boss? How can they go through life hating everyone for associating with USC regardless of whatever else they’ve done in life? I hate UCLA, but I don’t hate everyone who goes there or went there or is a fan of their sports teams. Do they refuse to watch John Wayne movies or Star Wars too? I will always love Bill Walton for what he did for my Trailblazers, and I don’t disrespect the Bruin at my job. Unreal.

WORD!

Remember what they did to Dorrell? The billboards and websites, the mindless attacks and cruel insults. Several bruins used that term and it fits perfectly.

They do realize

That Jerry Bus is a USC alumnus, who is also a member of the board of trustees. A Trojan owns the Lakers. The Lakers are a Trojan franchise. bruins(lower case intentional) just work for us.

by frak on Feb 20, 2010 10:01 AM PST up reply actions

That's usually the case isn't it?

Except for the bruin masses that join governmental bureaucracies. Oh wait, they also work for us.

Those guys and gals are nuts, remember when the Rams had Tyler and Henly I rooted for them.

The Lakers have had a ton of Ucla players, the dodgers all the teams it is just sports. I hope Nestor is force to work for an USC alum, it might teach him something in life.

It is not KBs fault that UGLA is a adidas school and not having an association with Nike.

Why did KB pick USC FB probably the great success USC has, Kobe is a winner and works hard to do it. I don’t think Kobe would skip practice or shoot around like other NBA stars, maybe the bruins could have Allen Iverson.

My buddy's wife went to ucla for med school

She wore a Leinart jersey almost every day on their campus. All the other days she was sporting some sort of USC gear. I tried teasing her about it one day. She responded by telling me to go “F” myself, and that no one hated that place more than her.

by frak on Feb 20, 2010 10:03 AM PST up reply actions

Hear hear!

Haha… the Loco Girls have also indulged in such bold provocations. They’ve attended several summer camps at ugla; always dressed in their USC gear (#5 jersey is still a favorite). The funny thing is that after a few days some other kids got into the concept and joined in! They love getting disconcerted looks from the local fauna at Ackerman (btw for a bunch of commies the ruins do eat rather well), but being that they’re just kids the gutties have to stifle themselves. Hilarious!

They were probably hassled a lot so they got a bad attitude, I don't get why somebody with all that hate would go to USC at all.

Yes I know it is the better Law school, but those 2 are first class trailer park trash. I would have to say the Ty is one of the worst people I have ever encounter on other Blogs, and is a puttz to boot.

Ask any USC Professional School Grad

When the ruins attend USC professional schools they have to face the cruel reality that THEY ARE NOT SPECIAL. This comes as a dreadful and crushing sock to them, causing many (not all of them) to “circle the wagons” and to become like unabomber type outcasts.
On the other hand, the collegial Trojans, Bears, Furds, Claremonters, other Pac-10’s and assorted East Coast snobs coexist quite comfortably at USC. They attend Trojan Football games together, and are fully vested members of the Trojan Family, while maintaining ties to their undergraduate college.
