Well gentlemen after two comments I am proud to say that I have been banned from Ruins Nation, how old is he? Six? All I said was "Just like football and that the Rose Bowl must be the Coliseum East" and that was removed and then I called him a censoring socialst. They have thin skin over there. It must be tough to be a gutless little ruin.

well, i guess you haven’t called him a “censoring socialist” and Paragon I respect what you say, but Nestor is an out of control moderator with low self esteem.
That seems to be a cost of being a part of SN
There is a certain amount of covering for the other bloggers that has to take place. It’s not a big deal but it is one of the reasons I don’t like SN so much.

I'm glad Bruins Nation bans anyone who disagrees even a little.
That way it is sure to stay a great source of amusement when they get their panties in a bunch. If there were more voices of moderation and varied viewpoints it wouldn’t be such a great source of comedy.
Considering everything there has to be either 100% great or 100% awful, it is fun watching them turn on Howland. The only thing better will be when the big flip-flop happens regarding slick Rick.

I got banned for a lot less than that!
But it was after we beat them in football so they were touchy.
It almost infuriates me when I’m reading one of their posts and I see the way they treat their own! A Bruin fan posted a really civil pro-Howland comment and Nestor threatened to ban him right off the bat. The fan was so shocked that he blew up and told N to “ban me like the candy ass you are, b!tch.” I should have taken a screenshot.

I’ve been around here long enough to have read Mushroom’s wild and disrespectful attacks against Paragon and this site in years past. It made the BN (if you can imagine) even uglier that it is now. The flaming was out of control and moderation had to be enforced. The BN’s Alinski style attack strategies were effectively muzzled by SBN.
Paragon has been very up front about his USC connection; he’s a son of a Trojan family. He took a different path from many of us, he didn’t attend USC, and didn’t go to college; instead he served with honor in the US Navy. I see the two paths as completely equivalent, except the Navy teaches common sense, teamwork, and leadership skills you can’t learn in any college. I also appreciate his pragmatism when some of us start acting like we’re at a frat party.
Mushroom the self-important ucla graduate is of the opinion that he is better and smarter than any USC graduate, but when it comes to Paragon, who is a mere fan? Well… the old timers around here can attest to the powder blue venom. It was personal, and it was completely uncalled for. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I love “telling it like it is” wrt Nestor, but if we go down that road we would be just like them.
Amigos. Let them spew their vomit, their bile and their dung, observe them as they wallow in their wretchedness, then laugh and remember to thank the Allmighty for sparing you.
We are Trojans, all of us. Fans, students and alums, we are family, and we know what really matters. Don’t waste you valuable time on them.

Before I even heard about Conquest Chronicles. . . .
. . . .I had already known and was reading content on Bruins Nation. What’s so weird about this fact is that- I was so green and unfamiliar with “blogging” and “comments” and “screen-names” and the whole sha-bang THAT I FAILED ON 2 SEPARATE occasions in becoming a SB Nation member/commenter while trying to respond to some of the COMPLETE BULLSHIT I had been reading by Nestor and Menelaus’ back then. And then, by some weird stroke of luck- I was perusing a ton of Trojan-related content by way of TOPIX.net search engine and BINGO! . . . I found the welcoming comments and hilarious banter of Paragon SC and DC Trojan and the community here at CC.
Within 5 minutes, I had successfully signed up on SB Nation and was commenting here on Conquest Chronicles. (my old screen-name was ‘tapoutstylist’. (that’s when I befriended you SoCal Oski- now that was back in the daze…….)
Yo gnossos! Think of your banning from Nestor as a “Badge of Honor”. A diploma, if you will, of successfully fighting off “the Dark Matter” and defending- with honor, The Way of The Force". . . . ahem. . . .
Seriously though, f_ck that spunk-guzzling man-bitch that is Nestor! The vile and detritus spewing from their mouths is noxious and carcinogenic- for all unsuspecting and true-blue Bruin followers. They’re the fringe of Bruin fandom and ALL NEED a serious ass-kicking. I’ll bet none of their regulars have been beat up IN A LONG LONG TIME. No self-respecting human being that has any sense of decency walks around in life with their common disposition (s) of hate, vindictiveness, and delusions of self-importance. referring to anyone as a “poodle”, implying that they are wimpy, is just flat out hypocritical. Nestor doesn’t appear to be someone who has ever played an organized sport. you can criticize the coaches, but calling out the kids is a whole different deal. The bottom line with ucla is that the talent level just isn’t there this year. Its not the players fault. They are out there trying their best. Looking at Roll during the USC game, he is an example of a guy out there giving it his all.

Yes calling out the kids doesn't make sense because they just follow what the coach tells them.
Just like the people on WeAreSC calling out Mays, all he did was follow coaches orders. If a player doesn’t do what the coach wants no matter how good he is, he will not play. Also on that site they were ripping Donte Smith saying he didn’t deserve to play and that was before Gerrity was eligible. I would have to say people who attack players have never played the game, maybe he can ban the world.

You did seem like a you were just trying to get under their skin. But I completely agree with Frak. Nestor can come off as completely condescending more often than not. Be it when someone disagrees with his opinion, or even when he doesn’t like a link someone posts. It can get pretty outrageous.

i got into a disagreement with that dude like a year ago. this one guy who was a UCLA alumni had a son going to SC, everybody started bashing him and saying some nasty things, i jumped in to help defend this guy and ‘he’ got on me about my dad being a SC fan.
i snapped back with something like this “just cause some one is a fan of a rival school,that doesn’t make him lesser of a person.”
i didn’t get banned SHOCKING but i hardly ever post on BN
Someone sent me some e-mails they got from him
those e-mails really show who he is as a person when he is not restricted by SBN. I laughed at them.
As I have said time and time again, don’t worry about Nestor. Someone usually acts in the manner he does if he/she is not happy with other aspects of their life (or I can only assume this). I pity him more than I feel anger towards him.
Don’t waste any of your time on it. It really isn’t important at all.
