A disturbing trend.
It seems like there is a trend that I am not aware of that is gaining more and more followers. It is people showing up to tailgate a football game that have no intention of attending the game. These fans, come more for the free flowing booze and tailgate party scene than the football game.
Yesterday the stabbing that occurred at the Rose Bowl happened about 20 feet away from me. The cops were on top of it pretty quickly, and everyone in the area got to breathe in a little pepper spray. But what was most interesting is that most of the people involved in the fight were not alumni of either school, or game ticket holders. Some probably came to look for a fight. I have some pictures that I took of the aftermath, that I will post later, but they aren't too exciting.

I hate to say it.....but I've got a feeling
that when the Raiders left Los Angeles……….some of those “gangstas” unfortunately adopted USC as their sports entertainment of choice.

not that far off
most displaced raider fans are transplanted trojan/laker/dodger fans. sad but true.
however, in all fairness. i did see a lot of these same “gangstas” don the blue and gold; i am not trying to make a sweeping generalization, but colors aside, you couldn’t tell one from another.
Nope...
Gangs stay true to their colors. They don’t give a crap about about USC or Ucla.

Football season is here
U feeling Loco?
One of the cops from the melee on Saturday said:
“I thought all the Raider fans left town. Little did I know that they just changed their jerseys.”
One of the reasons I make it a point. . . . .
. . . .to stay in touch with my ex-classmates and friends from my ‘SC days, be it through sharing dinners or coffee, pool, frisbee, or going to the cinema is so that I DON’T HAVE TO show up at tailgating parties. I’ve been down that route and was gaining a reputation of not taking any of our rivals’ shit and smack. I don’t, won’t and never will.
So it’s best I don’t fraternize much nor host my own tailgate. It’s not a responsible choice to make for myself, because I’m quite comfortable when it comes to combative challenges.
Bummer what happened yesterday, and I’m glad you got out of it safely. I hope? Anyone you know get injured, hurt or arrested?

It would be nice to know if any of those involved were
actually students or alumni of either school.

Well for anyone that was wondering
The back stabber was wearing white T Shift and black pants.
No school affiliation, not that it matters to me, but it seems to matter to some of the dudes across town.
& white tennis shoes
must be a tennis player

A football hit a person's car?
That’s the deal?
Maybe the Rose Bowl officials should reconsider when to let the tail-gaters in? Maybe they should reconsider a lot of stuff- like when to allow for game attendees have access to general parking and whatnot? 6 AM for tailgaters? 9:30 AM for general parking? And this, for a NIGHT FUCKING GAME?
I’m surprised more “melees” didn’t or haven’t break/broken out?
