Will Jurrell Casey go Pro?
Lane Kiffin said last week that if Casey is slated to go in the top 16 in the 2011 NFL Draft he should go.
After this Saturdays game against UCLA he has some thinking to do...
Casey's good work has added up to 59 tackles (fourth on the team and 25 more than the next-closest defensive lineman), including 10 stops four losses, 4.5 of which are sacks. Both of those figures lead the Trojans, who play host to Notre Dame on Saturday.
Casey's production and progress also have led up to a decision: Stay or go?
Casey said he has thought about the NFL draft but won't make that call until after the season, which concludes Dec. 4.
Heck, if he is rated to anywhere in the first round he should go. Why take the chance?
At this point 'SC will have nothing to play for next season either and Casey has done more than his fair share for USC and has really worked on his game.
I will miss his production but he should go...

It was my understanding
that Casey is currently rated as a late 2nd rounder at best.

This!
He would be foolish to go unless his NFL evaluation comes back showing him as a clear 1st rounder. He has been good, but not dominant. I bet he’s a 3rd rounder right now.
We’ll see what the scouts say. Regardless, it appears obvious that Casey wants to go. Hope he makes the smart decision.
You can't put sanctions on the fkn endzone! Bowls are for salad!
If he’s rated as a Top 15 pick I would say go if not I would tell him to stay. Isn’t he a junior ? He needs to finish getting his degree. If he does leave he will be missed

Many people shoot from the heart..
when it comes to these major life choices, It’s his decision and I hope it works well for him, regardless. Fight On, Jurrell!
When the time is right... it's the right time.
The man came to USC to get those pro chops… by many accounts… now he’s got ’em. So, if a pro career is the next thing and the right one at the right price… Casey should take it. Again for those with enough talent, the point of coming to USC is to arrive at such a position.
So, if you get “the job”… Good Luck Jurrelll… you’ve earned it.
