We have been hearing quite a bit of chatter throughout the day today that Garrett could be on his way out as the Trojans' director of athletics. Talk along the lines of "you're fired!"

Several prominent boosters and school officials are said to be far from pleased with the current state of athletics at the school -- particularly the dark NCAA cloud looming over the two highest-profile sports -- and most, if not all, of the chatter concerning Garrett revolves around what the boosters may or may not have up their long-reaching, omnipotent sleeves.
