Blount punches Boise St player after loss in Idaho.

Blount is out of control. He needs to be kicked off the team for that.

That has to be the end of his college career

The BSU player should get reprimanded for taunting Blount, but Blount did provide him with the bulletin material.

What a disgraceful game for Oregon, Chip Kelly and the Pac 10. So much for erasing the Pac 1 myth.

Blount had some choice trash talk before the game

He said that Oregon owed an ass whoopin to Boise State for the loss that was handed to the Ducks last year in Eugene. I thought the type of ass whoopin he had in mind was of the football variety, not hand to hand combat.

If he talks trash in the media, he should expect some trash back. If you’re man enough to dish it out, you better be able to take it like a man. Blount is a baby.

What did I say about the Oregon lines this summer?

I said they’d have a tough time living up to their hype, Blount or no blunt. Never bought into their ranking nor their depth, so how could I buy into their quality?

Like I said before, the best Oregon team this year is Oregon State. Cal is for real, Stanford will NOT be a sleeper- they’ll get smacked around this year too. Unfortunately, it’s us, Cal, and whatever Oregon State could muster this year. The Arizona schools need more time.

With Blount gone, where does that leave Masoli? Scrambling like a chicken back there, that’s where. Chip Kelley, eh?

Without an O-Line

Oregon is in trouble. They had no clue on how to block Boise State last night. Masoli had guys in his face all night long after the snap. I was really impressed by the speed of the Broncos on defense. I think Boise State could give anyone a game, especially up there on the blue turf.

That's true frak

Boise State can play with any Pac 10, Big 12, Big Televen, and SEC (I said it SEC homers, the ESS EEE SEE!) team. That blue turf is something else. I dig it. And the Ducks didn’t know what to do on it.

It didn't help that they played timid

Masoli handed the ball off far too many times when keeping it would’ve been the better option. When they got down a few scores Chip Kelly got scared and abandoned the run going pass wacky.

Their WR also dropped a ton of big catches.

One of those drops was by our own Jamere Holland

Hit the SOB right in the hands, would have been a TD if he held onto the ball. Had a full step on the CB and the ball hit him in full stride. Happen at a critical time, would have brought Oregon within three points and plenty of time left. Instead it was the final nail.

Looked Like Oregon state game last year, but we almost came back.

Oregon looked so bad last night and BSU didn’t look much better, if BSU played in Pac-10 they would do alright but not win.

Blount

Out for the season. Cannot play in any game, not even a bowl game if they get invited- but still has access to “all the support facilities” that Oregon has to offer. New Pac 10 commish “endorses this punishment”. WTF?

He should be kicked off the team forever!

he basically is

he’s a senior, he’ll never play football for the Ducks again. Kelly just didn’t want to throw his ass out on the street and is letting him keep his scholarship so he can graduate and train to try and get an NFL opportunity. Its actually a really good deal. Shows that we won’t put up with that kind of crap, but that we’re not going to ruin someone’s life, either.

actually because he is a senior 1/2 the season would be fair

The Fact that he was provoked and that player is not getting suspended at all is BS, so with that Blount shouldn’t get a whole year.

I think the determining factor

was the fact that Blount had already been given a second chance. This is not his first time getting into this type of trouble.

Hey dave

Bummer of a game. Sorry to see it end that way, and to see Boise State give you guys numerous opportunities only to watch them get fluttered away. Nothing I can say or anyone else will be able to wipe that blunderous game from your mind. Tough one, buddy.

I agree with Socal, yeah Blount was provoked, but where’s the crying over that retarded Boise State player who not only taunted Blount but smacked him on his shoulder pads. Now I’m not saying Blount was right in retaliating back like he did, but that BS player should be getting punished as well- if not by BS- than by WAC.

Good luck to you guys the rest of the season. I mean that. Tough one, man!

I don't agree

Smack talking a guy who shot his mouth off to the paper about your team should be expected. Blount trash talked Boise State. In my mind he should have expected to pay that bill when he and his team played such a horrible game. That’s why I never trash talk, and it gives me a headache when our guys do it.

About the suspension

I commend Oregon and Kelly for handling this ugly situation so elegantly. You can tell that the press conference was really upsetting Chip Kelly. He came across as firm, but you could tell that ending Blount’s college career was tearing him up inside. Oregon’s solution was fair for all parties. Its good that they didn’t toss him off the team. He gets a chance to motivate, and help his teammates. He can help some of the younger runningbacks pick up the slack that he left behind. He can concentrate on his studies. I for one hope that he can get his impulses under control. Hearing coach Kelly talk about him puts some humanity back in Blount that was lost on television that day. Kelly talked about hoping that Blount can erase that image up in Boise, and not have it define him. It reminds me a lot of Kermit Washington with the Lakers.

Good luck Blount.
