Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Somebody needs to get their story straight

There has been some question as to when Aaron Corp found out he was going to be the starting QB for yesterday's debacle.

Not that it really matters in regards to the outcome of yesterday's loss but is could cause some problems going forward...

This is from yesterday's L.A. Times...

Corp was told by coaches that he would be under center for the Trojans, who are trying to win an eighth consecutive Pacific 10 Conference title.

This is what Corp said after the game...

When asked when he was told he was starting, Corp said, "They never really did."

Carroll is famous for tapping into the collegian psyche and endorsing each week's starting quarterback as the team leader, but he never really told the kid he was even starting?

I don't know what to make of it.

Plaschke could have simply picked up the phone and asked Gary Klein what or how he knew that Corp was named the starter. But for Corp to say that is does raise some eybrows...

This is going to be an interesting week...
