Basketball notes...who's coming and going and a bit of comedy!

Just a couple of quick hoops notes...

This is the type of story we like to see...

The cloud of an NCAA investigation and allegations of past wrongdoing at USC didn't phase basketball recruit Curtis Washington.

The 6-feet-9, 210-pound rising senior from Elizabethtown, Ky., earlier this month became the first player to give new Trojans Coach Kevin O'Neill a oral commitment.

"That stuff has nothing to do with me," Washington said hours before participating in the adidas Super 64 club tournament here. "I'm going there to get my education and play ball. Coach O'Neill's a good coach. He asked me about that stuff, too, and I told him I don't care, I just want to play for you."

This kid has no fear! I give him a ton of credit!

I think it is going to get ugly with the basketball program but is it nice to see a kid stick with his commitment no matter what the future holds.

O'Neill still has his work cut out for him but having a player stay committed with the storm approaching is a nice way to build a foundation going forward...

Another piece of news is that Mamadou Diarra will not be back with the team but will instead try his hand at playing in France. This has gone back and forth...first he is going then he is back now he is going again. I seems to me that he was never coming back. I am sure he is a great kid but he never developed in Floyd's system.

And your comedy of the day...Read this post from Wolf's blog then read the comments.

Unbelievable...
