Wow how about that Festor not considering Jrue Holiday in Ruin draft annalists

It is so easy to get on the JaHod List of are little buddy, It is a good thing for Howland that the new recruits don’t get involved with the Political Blog they call BN>

Zaheed and his mob have no class

They talk about Holiday like he’s garbage; and all because the kid was less than complimentary about Howland’s whacked out emphasis on defense.

Will these coincidences never stop?

Coach Kev was fired from the Raptors, DeMar declares and gets drafted by the Raptors. (albeit, KO got fired a few years ago. . . .?)

Interesting

Especially since the CW in Chicago was that if The Bulls couldn’t package 16 & 23 to trade up to take Gerald Henderson, they’d trade/sell the 26th pick (ala the Lakers) in order to avoid paying two first round contracts.

Note that Gar Forman, the new Bulls GM, came to Chicago with Tim Floyd as a scout. The pick tells me two things:

1.) Forman prolly talked to Floyd ‘bout Taj, and Floyd had good things to say, especially about Taj’s work ethic, his defense, how he can be best utilized the NBA.

2.) The Bulls are looking to unload Tyrus Thomas and/or still a bit concerned about Joakim Noah and his maturity. Chicago writers are speculating that Wake’s James Johnson was picked to take over for Tyrus Thomas, but Johnson is built more like a power-post player, and Thomas most valuable contribution was his length, his defense and his shot blocking ability. That’s Taj’s game as well.

Taj could well see some decent playing time this year.

Seeing Taj at #26. . . .

. . . makes me think, he wasn’t so dumb declaring this year!

Hell no wasn’t dumb. Especially, with all due respect, considering the BB situation at SC.

This is as good as it was gonna get for him.

I'm stoked!

My Warriors’ take Stephen Curry. Yeah. Boy!

Don't buy a Curry jersey just yet

Rumors are he’s going to Phoenix in a big deal for Amare.

Speaking of my boys

Eric Stephen’s recap of yesterday’s Dodgers game is very well executed. I recommend you check it out if you haven’t already:

you know what I am talking about and btw the dodgers will be just fine .

I don’t know if you played any sports but there is one thing certain, that is you can’t win every contest.

I was just referring to the tie-in w/ Michael Jackson songs

I thought it was cleverly done.

I agree that the Dodgers will be fine, although I’d feel better if Belisario wasn’t on pace to appear in 82 games this season. Other than Billingsley, none of the starters seem to make it past the 6th, and I don’t want Belisario’s arm to be shot by the time the playoffs roll around.

As for winning every contest- well you obviously never saw my “B” league, intramural, slow-pitch softball team. Dominance! :P

FYI, here's a link discussing the possible trade

http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/sports/articles/2009/06/25/20090625spt-sunsonline.html

Seems like GS is giving up a lot (Curry+Biedrins+Wright or Belinelli); but Nelly and Amare seem like a perfect match.

by insomniacslounge on Jun 26, 2009 1:27 AM PDT up reply actions

That would bite insomniacs! Just suck.

Amare for Curry, Biedrins or Beinelli? WTF is coach thinking? I could see a straight trade up and some cash, but Amare’s is tainted goods. He’s been in the league a few years now, various injuries, is banged up, and I don’t think he has it. At least not like Dwight Howard. I could see a trade like that for a Dwight, but NOT AMARE! Don Nelson would be an idiot. and it will be THE SECOND TIME I WANT TO SEE HIM (NELLY) RUN OUT OF TOWN.

The first time was when he dismantled Run TMC! Back in the dizzay.

I sure hope this doesn't happen

Amare is a force when healthy, but the track record is he’s made of glass…

by Locoweed 1.1 on Jun 26, 2009 9:12 AM PDT up reply actions

Also, he requires a contract extension

So if GS does trade for him, they’re basically committing $90+ mil with the deal. I’m with you, Loco and Bix, I don’t think the trade makes too much sense- it’s just too big of a gamble for a guy who can’t stay on the court and doesn’t seem too interested in playing defense (tho that’s not as big of a deal on a Nelly team). Luckily, Biedrins can’t be traded for another week, so that gives them some time to come to their senses.

On the flipside, if GS keeps Curry, that is one small backcourt with Curry+Ellis.
