Wow Lakers have a parade and who got interviewed Pete!
Wow where was Big Rick or Ben Howland, didn't they have some Ucla players on the Lakers. Why didn't they have it at the rose bowl or Drake Stadium, I guess south central was all right with all. The boys on BN are propping themselves about Ariza and Farmar, but from what I here KB help make both better players. So even though they have LA in their name they are really not Los Angeles they are Just Westwood.

Dr Buss has my respect for making something of himself… Oh of course, he’s not without his failings (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2886160), but we’re all human right?
Also, didn’t see many Trojans out there on the court, but lets face it.. for the immediately forseeable future, USC fans will have to live vicariously through the Lakers and the Bruins on that team. I hear there is the remote possiblity of another Bruin getting picked up by the Lakers. Hmm, looks like Trojan employers know that they have to hire Bruins to be successful? You know, I’m okay with that.. :-)
Plus, it’d be rediculous to have the celebration in Westwood or Pasadena. Just a little too far.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4310 (Pruitt)
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3544 (Scalabrine)
Compared to…
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/4154 (Farmar)
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3860 (Ariza)
Seriously? That’s like UCLA saying that Bruce Davis was an intergral part of the Steelers winning the Super Bowl…
Well you can look at it a number of ways
Scalabrine has been to the NBA finals 3 times with 2 different teams. He is heading towards the end of his career, and was always a roleplayer. Pruitt just finished his second season, and didn’t even make the playoff roster last season. But he did contribute a little off of the bench to the Celtics, and has as many rings as Farmar and Ariza.
I have to say that I really admire Farmar and Ariza as players and people. Farmar seems like a great kid, and I never really worry about turnovers when he is handling the ball. He reminds me a lot of Jason Kidd. Ariza really stepped it up this season, however ultimately was overshadowed by Odom off of the bench. Either way, he did his part, and made some clutch shots for the Lakers. Its a toss up to me if he should start over Odom. I would use Odom for experience probably.
owning a car
I guess that puts him in the same boat as paul newman and david letterman. You gotta love Jerry Buss. In case you ever wondered why the Trojan Marching Band is the house band at Laker games, its because the owner is a Trojan. Tusk is performed at every game by request from Dr. Buss, and yes he does the ucla sucks chant.
Yes
I work for a Sooner alum. Never worked for a bruin though. Do you think helping out fellow alums is a bad thing or something?
Bankrupt!
Troy was part owner in Hall of Fame racing and one of DFW’s largest Ford dealerships. Both went bankrupt. Now, Troy is a part owner and spokesman for WingStop, a DFW buffalo wing joint. Not really trying to bag on Troy, as he seems to be a great guy. And, he always brings back sweet memories to me of the Rodney Peete era. Rodney was 2-0 against Troy and finished second to Troy’s 3rd for the Heisman. R-o-d-n-e-y, R-o-d-n-e-y!
Are those the worst wings going or what, that place sucks to expensive and dried out product.

Dr Buss likes young girls
always has. Every game I went to he was bringing a new playboy model up into the box at the forum and asking what we thought of her. As for the DUI, its ok… Rey Mauluga owns the police.
According to Don Maclean Taj Gibson may go 21-30
He could end up on lakers, the reason Taj has moved up is because he has shown in work outs that he can guard the SF.

Man! How fortunes change. He could actually go higher than Collinson! Last year, Collinson was a lottery pick and Gibson was 2-3rd round material. An incredibly strong guard class this year.
I hope Taj goes in the 1st
He’s about the only person that never caused any trouble on our team. He’s also no spring chicken.
Best of luck to Taj
He was the heart and soul of our team during the (ehem) “Floyd era”

That is true. It was easy for me not to like Hackett or Pruitt or the ball-tapping guy.
But Taj kept his nose clean (as far as I know). The only thing Bruins have on him it was weird to see a HS senior that could legally order beer.
Most mens basketball players are horrible in the classroom
the graduation rate is terrible. Its not a secret that Taj took some time to get academically eligible, but he stuck with it and graduated, so good for him.
how about
we set aside the rivarly for the a moment and enjoy the lakers bringing home the championship. regardless if theres somebody from UCLA or USC i’m just glad that the lakers won. hopefully if lakers win another championship its against the celtics
GO LAKERS!!!

hahaha
my dad talks like that. whenever farmer misses a shot he’ll say “thats why florida won the nat’l championship”
No one mentioned the obvious
The event was held that the Coliseum. Remember? That sporting venue that hosts Pete Carroll’s football team?
I would find it odd if Pete didn’t show up. His office is probably not even a mile away.
Yah you got a point but why didn't they have it at USCs other home field?
