USC Runs (away with) the Gauntlet

Once again Mighty Troy manifests it's athletic dominance over the lowly bRuins. That's two in a row over UGLA, with USC leading the series 5 to 3.

USC became the first school to repeat as winner of the Lexus Gauntlet Trophy as the Trojans captured the 2008-09 version of the head-to-head all-sports competition with crosstown rival UCLA by a score of 65 to 45.

By virtue of the Women of Troy rowing team's win over UCLA on Saturday (May 2) morning and then the historic sweep by the USC men and women in the track and field dual meet over the Bruins later in the day, the Trojans became the first school to capture the Lexus Gauntlet Trophy for two consecutive years since it was first awarded in 2001-02.

Congratulations to our Women's rowing team and our Women's and Men's track teams!

FIGHT ON!
