Congrats to our men's tennis team for bringing home more hardware

Third time’s the charm I guess. It always amazing to see our athletes compete for national championships year in and year out. Just one of the great perks about being a Trojan.

I wonder if any fans were chanting: “Just like Football.”

Well done gentlemen!

This is great news, and much appreciated in this of turmoil.
Let’s hope that in September we hear the chant “just like tennis!” in the old Horseshoe.

tOSU, they weren't any slouches in this tennis business

They beat a decent fUcla team and had their way much of the season. This is a national championship we can all be proud of. These men played lights out! Kicking tOSU’s ass the way they did? Kinda reminded me of last year’s football game.

Let’s hope we have our way with them again this year. Pryor is supposed to be “all that” THIS year, like they said he was last year. (when will the Big tEleven understand? out here in the PAC 10- we’ve got speed, power, “running” teams, spread-teams, and warranted swagger across the board. not just here at USC. i hope we play our version of smashmouth on tOSU like we did last year. see tOSU & Penn State 2008, that’s what i’m talkin’ ’bout!)

Way to go gents! Y’all did us proud.
Fight On!

Comer4tide to Nico2.0: "How come I've never heard of any of your random songs?"
Todd to Comer: "Because if you had, he wouldn't listen to it. BOOM. Roasted."
Nico to Todd: "Shouldn't you be off voguing somewhere?"

Congrats Trojan Netters!

Why is the score 4-1, and not 5-2? I played team tennis, but don’t get the 4-1 score being reported.

Yes only 1 point the format was changed a few years back.

I believe it was in the mid-90s they stop counting the doubles as single pts., the older system was a 9 pt. total. All matchs play 2 out 3 sets and singles went on first and then doubles to follow. It was pretty tough because you could end up playing 3 sets in singles and then 3 sets of doubles. They changed it because team matches took as long as 5 hrs. I will tell you what you drank a lot of water back then and if you worked nights as I did you were pretty wiped at the end of day.
