Of course...
the guys over at Battle Red Blog are pissed at this pick. I won’t bother to link to it. Why be negative when our guys are staking their claim.
Clay Matthews
Walk on, turned USC starter, turned first round pick. what a journey it must have been for him!
I wonder where Rey will land, I always considered him to be the best LB out of him, Cushing and Matthews but I guess this just shows how much depth we have had the last several years at LB on the football team. Ken Norton has done such an awesome job recruiting, developing and preparing these guys. And the results show. I bet it must be so much easier to recruit good LBs now that we will potentially have 3 LBs going in the first round, just gotta wait and see who gets REY REY.
The best thing I've always liked about Cush. . .
. . .his outspoken-ness! He says it like he sees it. I’ve never wavered in my belief that what he brings to the weight room and field IS HIS NATURAL GOD-GIVEN gifts of muscle and brawn.
Here’s what he had to say about Sanchez (and the fact that people take pot-shots at Mark for not being able to supplant Coach Carroll’s pet in JD Booty) “He’s everything you can imagine,” USC linebacker Brian Cushing said after he was drafted in the first round by the Texans. “He’s more than a quarterback. He’s a natural-born leader and he’s going to bring everything great to the table.”
Cushing said Sanchez should have been the Trojans’ starter earlier in his career. “At any other program he would have been a four-year starter and everybody knows that,” Cushing said.
Enough said. (my sentiments exactly)
Comer4tide to Nico2.0: "How come I've never heard of any of your random songs?"
Todd to Comer: "Because if you had, he wouldn't listen to it. BOOM. Roasted."
Nico to Todd: "Shouldn't you be off voguing somewhere?"
