Anyone else recognize these two? Its backup Celtics PG and former Trojan Gabe Pruitt being guarded by the Wizard's 6th man and former Trojan Nick Young during last night's Boston-Washington game.

"Noodles" Nick Young
Has been my favorite Trojan Basketball player by far since I came to SC 4 years ago.
I remember the first game vs. UCLA in the Galen center, SC was down 7 with under a minute to play. We hit a quick 3, came up with a defensive stop, and the next trip down, Nick Young barely got open in the corner for a three, where he fired a quick release, got fouled and swished the 3 – a four point play to tie the game with ~10 seconds left!
Unfortunately, the Bruins had this scorer named Aaron Afflalo who hit this cold blooded J from the elbow with like 3 seconds left and we lost by 2. Still, it’s possibly the most exciting basketball game I’ve been to!
BTW I miss all of Petros’ nicknames for the players….“Noodles” Nick Young, “Smilin’” Gabe Pruitt, Ryan “Lightning” Wetherell. I guess occasionally during starting line ups he would use Dwight “Flash” Lewis or “The Italian Stallion” Daniel Hackett, but not during the games….but look at me getting all nostalgic about USC Basketball! I’m getting all verklempt!

@Bix: Yeah TN isn’t so bad, but Memphis of all places? Yeesh. I really think Nick Young deserves more playing time, that cat can score in like a million different ways.

Then there’s Nick class-slummin’ in DC! I’ll bet that cat could use some Tommy’s Burgers right about now. Basking in the cool breeze down by the SM pier, checking out the “talent” all scantily-clad or whatnot. But hey! Maybe not? Maybe he’s happy in all that cold weather with all those nasty-mannered East Coast fashionistas? Cryin’ about the inability to get a decent steak or cursing at the long lines trying to catch a Thursday matinee movie?
Brotha shoulda never left the West Coast so soon. (Gabe though? He did aight! OJ ain’t doing too bad in Memphis either. At least OJ’s got Tennessee! One of the most beautiful states in the Union. And them girls? Finer than frog hair!)
