Mike Belotti Officially Stepping Down as Oregon's Head Coach

Just caught this on ESPN this afternoon during halftime of a conference tournament game, and this also means that now Belloti will take over AD duties and Chip Kelly will become the new HC . I wonder what this means for USC as the Trojans have not won in Oregon in three years, but regardless the Ducks will be a very tough out regardless of who is coaching them this year.

UPDATE: And just as I write this, something comes up on Google News. From Oregon Live:

University of Oregon President Dave Frohnmayer announced today that Head Football Coach Mike Bellotti will become UO athletics director on July 1. Chip Kelly, offensive coordinator of the football team, will take over as head coach at the beginning of spring practice on March 30. This succession plan was previously announced on Dec. 2. Between March 30 and July 1, Bellotti will serve as Senior Counselor to Pat Kilkenny, current athletics director, who will step down on June 30.

This also means that Pete Carroll is the longest tenured coach at any Pac 10 school... unless you count Mike Riley's initial stint at Oregon State before he returned to coach the Beavers.
