Now, I can't help that I was raised by a Catholic mom who's roots, invariably tie her to the South. And as such, in my household, the name Bear Bryant was a God- no kidding, on the walls leading out of our kitchen and onto a large balcony (all the main common rooms are on the 2nd floor, bedrooms and such on the 1st ) there on both sides of this small entryway was a Bear Bryant shrine. Skip to my education: I chose USC over a few schools, I was close to actually going to Ucla. . . . whew! There were many reasons why I chose and fell in love with the campus out in Jefferson Park- mainly because 4 others in my family (all cousins and close relatives) previously attended.
I now give you the words of Coach O'Neill, and through him- I give you why I'm a Trojan!
"I don't think we're an odds-on favorite to win the national title or anything like that, but why would you play the game if you don't think you have a chance to win it?" O'Neill said Wednesday. "I'm going to try to win one. That's what everybody wants to do in our business." (from the Los Angeles Times , Baxter Holmes column Dec. 31, 2009)
Gotta love Coach!
