USC senior point guard Mike Gerrity will be available to face No. 9 Tennessee on Saturday after the NCAA granted him a "progress towards degree" waiver.
Gerrity transferred to USC from Charlotte after the first semester of the 2008-09 season. Without the waiver, he wouldn’t have been eligible until sometime next week.
Gerrity (Mater Dei High) will add much-needed floor leadership to a Trojans team that will have to be at its very best to compete with the deep, athletic Volunteers.

I am excited to see Gerrity play. I checked his play, and he was known in his prior conferences one of the best passing PGs. Welcome Gerrity! This should help a lot.
