It will be interesting to see how USC responds after last weeks loss in Eugene.
The match-up of the day will be the USC offense against the ASU defense. The USC O line has their work cut out for them today. Vontaze Burfict is to be looking to hang some pelts on the wall today so the offense needs to be mindful of where he is at all times.
The USC defense needs to make up for its poor showing last week. They need to get to ASU QB Danny Sullivan and they need to do it often...
I think SC prevails today but I am more interested in how they come out in the early going. I don't want to see them trying to do too much in trying to make up for last week

I was talking to a coworker yesterday who’s an LSU alum and SEC supremacist – he was going on about how we needed to have a PAC 10 championship, but he didn’t know we played round robin. He was shocked when I pointed out the round robin thing and thought that should be canceled immediately.
I’d call him to let him know that others here agree, but I suspect he’s demolishing a fifth of bourbon right now. Not a fan of Alabama or Saban, as it turns out.
Well this will be interesting to see how the defense responds

FYI - Jahvid Best just stretchered off the field at Cal game.

It is not Barkley it’s the coaches and him sticking with the play instead of looking for other players. I think if he was a soph or JR he would be more aggressive

The ball is at the 36 right now because it looked like a backwards run after the strip – hard to tell that he was down at game speed.
It needs to be at the 29 or so on the replay, which means that the refs will place the ball in Tucson.

I actually feel sorry for Sullivan…over the past few years he has been the one pac10 QB that the USC D has teed off against the most. At times they have literally beat the shit out of him. He had blood pouring out of his mouth one year, for crying out loud. But he never, EVER, complained…and always limped back onto the field and into the huddle. It’s been said that the favorite QB of a losing team is the one on the bench, but I think Sullivan deserves better than that.
I hope they like the freshman’s play…he’s not ready

Southern Cal looked absolutely awful against a horrible ASU team. The SC mystique is officially over. I still can not figure out why the announcers had such HUGE praise for Barkley. He does not impress me. Maybe in the future?

That game was far too close. But, we won. Not quite what I had in mind but a win is a win. So go us. Bac has nothing to do with analysis.
Long story short, we played poor as he’ll on offense, but still walked away with the win. With he next 3 games at home, were in a position to win out, and maybe, and if the cards fall our way, make another bcs bowl.

Put down the BREW. That dream is dead. Too many 1 loss and 2 loss teams with better resumes. SC just barely beat ASU. The Holiday Bowl is the only reasonable goal at this point.
