I don't know about that...
Nothing is more entertaining to me than watching Howland’s rock solid defense stifle opposing offenses and then watch a grinding efficient offense wear out the opponent.
…Of course we don’t exactly have it going this early in the season, but I believe our young players will start to get it right by the time the pac ten season gets underway.

Nothing is more entertaining to me than watching Howland’s rock solid defense stifle opposing offenses…
I find that to be boring basketball…but then I am not into hoops to begin with. I like to watch a fun and gun type offense…when I watch.

You joined BN and the first comment you posted verbatim was “all those score are not going to matter on Nov 28 when both teams meet.”. You then followed that up with more pithy one line rejoinders along the lines of “what difference does it count for other than a victory if you win?” and “how many national championships did Lavin or Dorell win at UCLA?”
What exactly were you expecting, a warm hug and a kiss? Sorry your feelings got hurt, dude, but it didn’t exactly look like you went there for deep conversation. If I came here and asked how many championships Paul Hackett won when he coached at USC I’d probably be banned, too.

Back to the topic at hand...
UCLA basketball just isn’t going to be good this year. We’ll struggle to win 17 games and make the tournament. Too young, no dependable go-to-guy at the point, and the seniors haven’t developed a whole lot. Michael Roll is who he is – a role player – but he’s by no means a star.
Dragovic I’m just never going to understand. He hasn’t developed at all and just looked lost on Monday. The fact that Reeves Nelson, a true freshman, looked more poised than Drago did on the court, does not bode well for Dragovic’s playing time or the success of the team.
They’ll get better as the year goes on but it’ll still be a struggle. I think we’ll be lucky to finish 5th in the conference given what I saw on Monday.

is a grade A moron. One of my buddies is all up on arms about how Howland’s offense is never going to win him a title. Well, they said the same thing about Roy’s defense for years until he finally got over the hump.
All the whining about how Howland isn’t yet John Wooden reminds me of the constant need at Alabama to compare someone to the Bear. Watch – if Saban – easily the best coach Alabama will ever get in the modern era – does not win at least one national title in the next three years – the Bama fan base will start to go bonkers.

Drago has improve as much as Roll, Keefe, Gordan, Shipp, Morgan etc, Ben doesn’t develop offense he kills it and the DEE can be taught by just about anyone.
Are you telling me that Ben cooks with Magic Grits, I really don’t care what happens to Mr Hack alot. Maybe your friend might be right or wrong but it is just an opinion.

The first comment is true no previous scores or records will matter when fucla plays USC on nov 28. The second one about a win is that no matter how good or bad you look and play it only counts as a W or an L. The last comment about Lavin and Dorrell was because someone said Lavin and Dorrell had never lost a game by a bigger point spread difference and that gets you what I’m pretty sure all USC fans care about are championships PAC 10 and national and I was bring in up the fact that yeah Pete had a bad defeat but has given us many championship ( PAC 10 national) and what did Lavin or Dorrell give you guys ? I never used profanity so what’s the big deal
