Taj Gibson Starts off strong!
Here is a nice story on Taj...
In general, the Bulls have struggled to make shots consistently this season, but don't include rookie Taj Gibson in that group.
After scoring a season-high 18 points on 8-for-13 shooting in the loss Wednesday at Toronto, Gibson is averaging 8.3 points on 51.8 percent shooting. He has filled in nicely at power forward for starter Tyrus Thomas, who is out with a fractured left forearm.
I realize it is early yet but this is some great news on Taj. I know a number of us were not sure how he was going to adjust but so far it looks good.

I have been watching the games that the bulls have put on TV.
He looks like the same old Taj, I always knew he was better than Tyler Hansbrough Refs just got in the way. Taj Has always had great fundamentals, in my opinion is one three sleepers in draft. That being Taj, Brandon Jennings, and Ty Lawson.

I've always been a huge fan of Taj's game
think he has all tools to have a very long very successful career in the nba

Can't believe he developed a shot..
Wish he had done that at SC. Great to see him off to a good start. Must admit, I was low on his NBA potential.
We’ll see! Once everyone figures out his game things will change.

True, true
Would love to see Taj do well. Still think his niche is defensive, rebounding specialist a la the Worm.
Dallas I don't really know your experience but to develop a shot is not that difficult.
It takes about 3-4 months of hard work and you got it, hell I develop my shot just watching Rick Barry shoot and then went out and worked on it. Taj coming from Brooklyn makes him a pretty tough customer and thats why he will never fall down. I have seen what hard work can do first hand my teammate in college was Lo Romar, he didn’t even start for a 2nd class HS team. But he had the desire and will to make it all the way to the NBA.

If it were that easy to develop a shot
I’d think more people, especially terrible shooting pro players, would do it.
[DELETED ZOMG NO POLITICS]
Well I am sorry but most of those pros just don't work hard enough,
Examples:
Magic Johnson, no real shot other than set shot—-after 5 years 2 &3 pt. jumpers and a sky hook
Barkley no outside shot at all in 2 yrs 2 & 3 point range
I am saying that you got what to put in the work to improve and most NBA player don’t.

haha, wow. I know you know a lot about tennis, but I think you may know less about basketball than I do, as shown by this thread and your Lavin is/was great post :-)
But then again, you did predict USC for 20+ wins & you have a better track record than UCLA as of right now, so we’ll see!
Dude I played basketball and on winning teams PG--SG and power foward(30 in. vert) on 6ft and under.
