Quick Friday Links Dump
Paragon's busy at work and I am theoretically supervising the kids' bathtime, so here's a lightning round of links for today:
- Stanford offense will cause USC problems (LA Times) - in other news, day is light, and night is dark.
- Standard "USC dissed me in recruiting" story about Toby Gerhart (Mercury News) - they might have missed a trick in getting him for football but he should be thanking his lucky stars he's not playing baseball at SC.
- More on the "look out for Gerhart" theme, including Carroll denying that he told Gerhart that baseball was not an option at SC (OC Register) - man, these soap opera human interest stories are tiresome.
- Nick Perry to start at defensive end, as Wes Horton is filling in for Everson Griffen (LA Daily News) - this should be interesting, Perry has certainly shown the potential.
- OC Register predicts a very tight win for USC - that would be perfectly all right by me.
- Off-topic: Chris Dufresne mulls over the possibility of USC going to play the SEC Championship Game loser on New Year's Day at the Sugar Bowl - that would be quite the experience, not least of which would be New Year's Eve in New Orleans... I'm feeling hungover just thinking about it.

Kudos to you, our very own dump! Is it a DTD? This was long overdue! Now, if we could only get >400 comments by midnight!

Busted!
It didn’t even occur to me that I was slavishly copying our Cal colleagues.
Let’s chalk it up to the college football blogging equivalent of Stockholm Syndrome and never speak of it again…

Tony Robbins
encourages “modeling excellence in others,” I say keep it up! The rest of us will have to make due with Bud Light.

Lets lay off the personal attacks
That goes for everyone…I understand that we don’t agree with some of the commenters here but lets not go down that road.
I have been lenient but that is going to change…

Well I heard that PC told Toby that he had to play basketball, baseball, run track and Paper the Weasels house every year.
Toby didn’t know what to do with the TP and stuck it in his shorts all the while about 8ft of TP was hanging out and following him around.

Nick Perry good rusher...
bad against the run. Yikes! Kennard, 1st time LB. Armstead, playing with a cast. Shane Horton, recently converted safety. Malcolm Smith, serious shoulder injury. Mike Morgan, cast. Galippo, sore neck.
YIKES!!!! Danger, danger, Will Robinson.
Still, I think the game will hinge on our offense. Fact – the Farm will score 30. Fact, USC has only scored +30 3 times – SJSU, Oregon St, and ND. A repeat of the Oregon St game (42 points) is needed, but is that possible w/out D-will?
Only chance is for Joe Mc to have a huge, 3 TD game. USC scores 35 or more, we win. So, whose going to bet on our offense, minus -D-will? Plus the Farm under.
