Arizona coach Mike Stoops took a question about the conference's competitiveness and turned it into a plea for the league to cut back to eight games, something the league's coaches discussed last spring.
"Nine conference games doesn't do anybody any favors,'' Stoops said. "When you're playing an extra conference game, just do the math — half the teams are going to have another loss.''

…and ALL the teams would have another win. PacX doesn’t play the BCS game. Admirable principle, but it costs the conference millions in prize money. Bad business decision.
Somebody ought to explain that to Michigan.

And to Notre Dame Navy.

Makes sense
No school but USC can play in the Championship. The round robin (which if will remember did not always exist) won’t convince the rest of the country of the Pac’s Quality, so if you can’t beat ’em join ’em. I wonder if Pomona College has a Football team.

This way in the hard econ you could take some long travel out of it Like we don’t play in the one of the states up north. Look the Tennis conference is split in two divisions and it works! Of course that would mean not playing the Reatards across town, Oh we can’t do that then they would actually have to gear up for something else. Pro Westwood would turn into a ghost Town, it already is starting too I mean who goes there anymore Downtown La is drawing more. But I guess they could have a Old fashsion bowling alley a live gunfight in town, and gay saloon.
