I just don't get it
Ucla, why don't they have a better football program (teams) I mean they are in So Cal.
You can’t tell me it’s the area compared to USCs it is basically the yellow brick road, nice neighborhood. They have kick ass facilities and one of the best football fields in America, it is known as the Granddaddy of them all. It is a beautiful campus nice settings and some of the best medical buildings in America. It is in the Top twenty five academic schools in the nation. They have good coaches and great backing from alumni and students. So really what is it maybe most of the players just don’t fit in, but I still don’t get it. Maybe it’s the baby blue little bear not very masculine though, like change to real bear and midnight blue and gold. I don’t know maybe some day things will change.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Conquest Chronicles' writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Conquest Chronicles' writers or editors.

Shades of blue
Teams with baby or sky blues: SD Chargers, NC Tarheels, Rhode Island Rams . . . I can’t find anyplace that lists teams by colors. That would be a very cool site, one that lists teams by uni colors. Anyone know such a site?
The Journal of the Color Science Association (seriously) did a study of 5 uniform colors and how they affect performance. White, red, blue, green, orange. The study found there was no effect. Performance depended on ability, independent of the uniform color.
There you have it. The Bruins football issues lie elsewhere, not in the uni color. UCLA can keep true blue and gold.

Trojan Inferiority Complex
Who wants to be a red-headed stepchild? UCLA can only be good when USC is down.

we prefer blue-headed stepchild.. for obvious reasons.

Well after watching the 2 great ones coach the bruins today.
They really blew it when they let Walker walk, Ucla should have made walker the head coach. Then let him pick an OC and I don’t think he would of picked either Chow or Neu., it would have been someone else.

Nope, by taking Walker we would have been doing the same thing we did with Dorrell, coach with no experience coaching at the D1 level.
Like someone said somewhere here on CC, UCLA got the best coach they could afford & get.

I am glad you are happy with your coach!
But I hate to inform you that if he was leading you in battle he would expire very fast, along with 80% of your crew. It comes down to the 80-20 rule and your choice is the down side, slogans and mirrors he is a lawyer that is what they practice.

Wow, I’m trying to think of how you could have made less sense here, but for the life of me…. I just can’t…

Not so fast!
You can’t equate Walker and Chow with Dorrell, other than to say they hadn’t been head coach. UW didn’t seem to have a problem with this issue when they hired Sark.
Face it Pablo, so.cal. hits the nail on the head, not that it doesn’t work for us!

I think he was trying to say
that there were too many unknowns with Walker. Walker may turn out to be the better head coach for ucla than Neuheisel, but after the Dorrell fiasco, the AD wasn’t willing to take the chance.

Mas o menos cierto…
My insider says that Walker was close until the uproar became ridiculous.

I won't claim knowledge of the bruin inner workings
but it would be a shock to me if they turned over the reigns to yet another 1st time head coach.

And you were indeed correct, but Danny was not.

I see you understand what I was saying Loco, maybe it has to do with age and working in the private sector>
I think the world of Paul V because at least he doesn’t whine like most of Nestors Angels, but working in the private sector and having my own business I understand some things more than others. Also coaching athletics has help me communicate better for me personally, but I know I write like crap. It is some kind of syndrome, but maybe they have not made up something yet. You know it’s all about the drug companies making new drugs to stay afloat.

ucla doesn't have a QB
again.
They haven’t ad a good QB in a long time. When they have a decent QB, some bizarre injury happens and he ends up sitting out half the season, which leads to him coming back rusty, or out of shape. I don’t think Prince would have played as bad if he had not broken his jaw. You can’t fault Chow for not succeeding when he doesn’t have the players to work with.

I understand but Purina is a trader pure and simple, and he has walked my plank into the Sharks
You could say it was his own Plank for that matter, I don’t think he saw the opportunity of being Petes assistant coach. This might have gotten him some recognition as to a head coach.

I agree
2011 is Neiheisel’s year. He has to pull it together with a minimum top 2 finish in the conference. He has a lot of freshmen on the field this year. WIth 2 years experience under their belts, he needs to produce some wins to make his case for turning the ucla football program around. 4 seasons…. he needs to show us something or he’s just blowing hot air.

What the heck happen for this guy to do that, once my friends and I were playing 2 on 2 BB.
We were on vacate in Hawaii and one of the guys was driving to the hoop and was watching his ball, plunk ran into the poll with his head. We had to keep him up all night, man did he have a knot on his head.

And you present an awesome senario… I think that “weasel” at QB might light up any SC coaches’ defensive team :-)

But Nestor wouldn't have it any other way, maybe he could be moved to SE or TE
I kind of took it as the list falls on BN

Please, no. They’ve already stolen the fight song and (for the most part) the mascot. Perhaps a better solution would be for the Uclans to actually claim their own unique identity. Change their colors to purple and orange, and make the seagull their mascot.
