17. Auburn will name Gus Malzahn its coach-in-waiting
After the Tigers lose their first three games against Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State and West Virginia, Auburn will name offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn its coach-in-waiting to succeed recently hired Gene Chizik. USC quarterback Mitch Mustain, who played for Malzahn in high school and briefly at Arkansas, will transfer to Auburn.

Mark Schlabach

This is why Schlabach has ZERO credibility...does anyone really think that Mustain would transfer AGAIN and lose another year of eligibility just to be re-united with Malzahn? The rest of the stuff that writes about USC is intriguing to say the least. It would appear to Schlabach that we have no depth on defense...

Yah it sounds weird but but do you really think Mustain will ever beat out Crop and Barkley?

I mean Corp moved ahead of him and I watched Barkley play in the under armor game clearly in control of the team. That was a allstar team and he look like he was with them all season, I mean Brehaut had little or no control. Barkley will give Mrak a run for the money also.

Why even highlight this

It’s that time of the season when pundits need to pump out words, even when they have nothing to say.

No disagreement...

but shouldn’t they at least be accurate or use some common sense?

"shouldn’t they at least be accurate or use some common sense?"

Since when is that a requirement for sports punditry.

The WWL years ago dispensed with that. Far too quaint. Noise and attitude!

Now you know why Plaschke wins awards. Because meatheads like Schlabach are his competition.

BINGO!

THAT . . . .I believe, qualifies as a TRIPLE-ZING! (good one Zoulou)

Earlier this morning, I re-read Signal To Noise’s commentary on “Plaschke’s Hack Superpowers”, and – apart from newly appreciating the post’s title (awesome! sorry I overlooked it before), I also want to commend him for outstanding journalism. That was some very good stuff my man!

It seems like a failed attempt to be humorous

more than anything else.

You know what? Fuck you Sports Gods, fuck you.
