In the system that we have today, Utah proved that they can compete with anyone. Their defense gave up 3 points off a 52 yard field goal, and a touchdown off of a turnover in their own red zone. The only other Alabama score was a punt return for a touchdown on special teams.

I have to put them ahead of us. They dominated their opponent in their bowl game, and they didn’t hiccup on any of their games this year. Give them the AP national title.

I think they had 8 or 9 sacks, 3 interceptions, and a fumble recovery on defense. Wow.

BCS DECLARES GERMANY WINNER OF WORLD WAR II: USA Ranked 4th


After determining the Big-12 championship game participants the BCS
computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS
declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.

“Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with
the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into
conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark,
Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and
Russia; however considering their entire body of work—including an
incredibly tough Strength of Schedule—our computers deemed them worthy
of the #1 ranking.”

Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner
stated “The US only had two major victories—Japan and Germany. The
computer models, unlike humans, aren’t influenced by head-to-head
contests—they consider each contest to be only a single,
equally-weighted event.”

German Chancellor Adolph Hitter said “Yes, we lost to the US; but we
defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks.” Herr Hitler has been
criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn ‘style points’ to
enhance Germany’s rankings. Hitler protested “Our contest with Poland was
in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly
challenging and demanded the application of additional forces.”

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented "
France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1
ranking they only fell to #2."

Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Korea, Manchuria, Borneo,
Taiwan, Viet-nam, and the Philippines.

And a “yes” vote it was.

Utah went Trojans on the Tide, in the 1st quarter at that! That was some pretty awesome football when they started scoring, sticking, and flat-out manhandling.

They absolutely earned the nations respect tonight. Only crazy-people didn’t fully appreciate their 8 bowl wins in the past 10 years.

But after today’s game, I just got off that bus full of crazy people. (Mark my words, one of these days. . . . . .there’s gonna be a Hollywood movie. . . . .and it’s gonna be about Brian Johnson. He’s had one helluva collegiate career and some insane celebrity moments. And . . . .that marriage proposal he busted out a few years back? . . . on NATIONALLY TELEVISED PROGRAMMING? . . . this guy’s life couldn’t have been scripted any better! Sheesh. . .)

He’s the guy that proposed to his cheerleader girlfriend after the victory over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.

No matter what happens in the Fiesta Bowl and the MNC game. Period. End of story.
