Schadenfreude watch, 9/27/08
With SC falling this week, it's time to hope for the worst for the rest of the Top 10 teams. Paragon posted about Florida falling today and you may have also noted that#9 Wisconsin fell to Michigan and with 2 Top 10 teams in the AL-GA game, that means that this week FOUR Top 10 teams will have lost.
and look at this...Bama's spankin the Bulldogs!
And in case you're wondering about the title, get to know schadenfreude!
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Conquest Chronicles' writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Conquest Chronicles' writers or editors.

One of my favorite words.... Schadenfreude...
If you haven’t seen the Broadway show “Avenue Q”, do it. It explains it pretty well :-)

I wonder if Nestor is going to trash Neu
for accepting the holding penalty. RuinedNation crucified Dullard last year for doing that against SC.

2 plays that will be talked about
The 4th and 1 that the bruins didn’t get, and the holding penalty. I think Neuheisel made the right call both times. He took the penalty to give Fresno a 3rd and 20. In that type of situation, all they could really do would be to run it to get a better shot at a field goal, or go for the touchdown. I can’t believe that they let a screen get 20 yards. Bad defense really.

One thing about NESTOR or is it FESTOR
This guy has no guts alls he does is put down things he doesn’t like and hipes his opinions. If you call him on anything he then will make nasty comment and then ban you so you can’t answer back, must be Big Joe Mac in disquise

Don't bother over there
would be my advice to you. Your post above is exactly what will happen to anyone that wants to argue a point with nestor. Its his site, and he’ll run it how he wants to run it. He chooses to have no participation from USC posters, so thats what he has. I like the fact that we have a free board here where bruins can come and argue their opinions.

Yes I agree
You know Frak I’m a LA fan ( but like trojans more) so I always root for our teams in southern cal but after reading those people I don’t care if they ever succeed.

I occassionally see USC posters over there. Afraid I wouldn’t know too much about bans or censorship on any blog I’ve been a part of. I’d say a large percentage of us mean BN reader/posters are pretty rabid UCLA fans but not to an extreme. Truthfully, I’m a huge anti-USC fan (if that even makes sense) but I do try to not sour any wells on either side as I genuinely enjoy reading and posting on a variety of SN blogs.
I think as long as you have something semi-intelligent to say, you should be allowed to do so. What pisses me off is when random trollers and rabble-rousers give any fan base a bad name. Lets face it, there are those kinds of “fans” at both “ucla” and “SUC”

A buddy of mine
responded to a thread that was about USC fans having no class at the USC-ucla game. He posted a story about the USC fan that lost an eye at the game after being attacked by 10 ucla fans. The post was deleted and he was banned for bringing up the fact that jerks exist in the bruin ranks.

Why don't you have the guts. . .
. . . to just say you’re a Bruin fan? What a joke.
As long as you refer to “our” institution as “SUC”, you’ve got no respect from me. (For not claiming allegiance and for being an out and out dork referring to my alma mater in a very derogatory manner)

Gotta go with Bix on this one…
I was so stunned at the "not to an extreme" portion of your comment that the "SUC" connotation just kind of went by me.
Look do us a favor, keep that out of here. I am fine with you rooting for your alma mater…DJ89 and SuperBruinMan are pretty partisan towards ucla and that’s fine but they have never done that here.
I have read enough of that garbage over there so please keep it over there. If you want to have some friendly banter or constructive discussion here on CC that’s fine but keep that other crap over there. If you don’t like it then don’t post here, simple as that. I have shown that I am more than classy here on CC towards my guests. I would expect the same in return.
Just goes to show to show that you can’t buy class nor can you teach it… I would expect someone from a "vaunted educational institution" like ucla would understand etiquette but then again I could be wrong…

Was trying not to be partisan by puting both into quotation marks. I can see how that was a misunderstanding. This is your board, I enjoy getting the other side of the story and very occasionally contributing. My intent was to confirm that most fans from both schools are reasonable ones, but in doing so managed to prove how quickly it can turn? My bad!

I am cool with partisanship...
quotes or not I would simply prefer you call us by some of our acceptable monikers here. Elsewhere you can do what you want.

Don't paint the ucla fan base with the BN brush
Having grown up on the westside, a large amount of my family friends are ucla alumni, and I can tell you that the attitudes of the BN admins are a small percentage of the ucla fanbase. Most people keep it friendly on both sides.
