Down Goes Florida!

Ole Miss 31 - Florida 30

From ESPN

Jevan Snead threw two touchdown passes, ran for another score and led the Rebels to a stunning 31-30 victory at No. 4 Florida on Saturday.

Snead, the former Florida recruit who backed out of his commitment when he learned the Gators were going after Tim Tebow, outplayed last year's Heisman Trophy winner.

And he did it in The Swamp, where Florida had won 21 of its last 22 games.

The victory came in Snead's fifth career start and gave Nutt a huge win in his first season with Ole Miss.

Considering how bad Ole Miss was last year and that they did it in the Swamp makes it a bigger upset than USC/Ore. St.

Who's next?

Watching as much college football as I do, I am convinced that the game has changed and the comfy “dominance” of the upper tier will no longer be a week-in, week-out given.

It’s funny the amount of crowing I’ve seen from other fan bases about our loss and this Florida loss just underscores the point – rather than laughing and throwing dirt on our team, they should breathe a sigh of relief and pray that when (not if) their team takes their ugly loss this year, they will recover with grace.

Everyone hates USC

You can’t be on top as long as we have been and not garner the ill will of teams that have been less than successful.

Today's Upsets

UR Ole Miss over #4 Florida 31-30
UR Maryland over #20 Clemson 20-17
UR Navy over #16 Wake Forest 24-17
UR Michigan over #9 Wiconsin 27-25

…and counting?

*Hopefully this will settle down everyone who has been all doom and gloom since thursday night. As I posted earlier, USC can still have a great season.

Yeap...

That ucla game was pretty good. Fresno should have rolled but they had a TON of penalties. Both the ucla offense and defense was up and down…nothing really stable. Having seen FSU in person against Rutgers they looked a lot like that today they still have some work to do. Good win for Pat Hill though!

There is one difference....

Georgia, Florida and those other schools still have solid schedules ahead. USC has no ranked teams left on their schedule.

If the Trojans beat everyone left on the schedule by 20 + pts, they still won’t have accomplished as much as a one loss UF or UGA at seasons’s end.

Let's continue this discussion the first week of December

Haven’t the past three days taught us to assume NOTHING?
