That's two years in a row...

that Pete Carroll has allowed his team to show up against a vastly inferior opponent unprepared and ill-equipped to win.  I know that the coaches can't suit up and play the game themselves, but there is absolutely no excuse for getting their asses kicked against Stanford in '07 and now OSU this year.  No excuse.

Just an embarassing effort (if you can call it that) against a team that the scout team beats routinely if they play tomorrow.  I'm a Carroll fan (I liked him when he was an assistant with the Vikings) -- but as far as I'm concerned, these two losses are as big a statement as the two national championships.  Shame on us, seriously.

I can't remember now what the point spread was against Stanford ... hell, I've tried to forget ... but I bet it's been years since a team has lost  in back to back seasons vs. teams they were favored to beat by so much.  Even in the 90's, I was never embarassed by our teams ... we were overmatched at times, but never played with shi*** effort.  But I'm sad to say I'm embarassed.  Shame on us.  Seriously, shame on us.

easy...it happens consider the alternative...ucla

I am not happy about this loss but take it easy…

There are some issues that PC needs to fix it and fast…like get back to smash mouth football not this cutesy stuff. But we’ll get through it.

Agreed

Odd, I thought my post went through.

Let’s not take it too hard. A loss or two is just pure motivation to keep doing our best and not get caught looking ahead.

Congrats to the Beavers that worked their asses off depite lousy statistics, records, ,bad calls, etc.

Keep the faith in your Trojans – there’s PLENTY of football to be played.

Better hope we play well

Given this loss and the rest or your schedule, you had better hope “the alternative” wins enough to make anything you do for the remainder of the season shine. You’re right, the PAC-10 is taking its lumps this year, but if you run the table and the alternative’s numbers cause a computer crash at the end, that’s not our problem. Be careful what you wish for.

Not really

Unless a team goes undefeated, USC only has to win out to get back to #1 in the human polls.

With the post-2003 changes to the BCS, the computer polls aren’t especially important. The blessing of the human polls is that the team that loses first has the edge.

Of course there is the minor detail of winning out

I’d like to see how the team reacts in the next couple of games before I start thinking about any sort of post-season play.

Don't hold your breath

because that won’t happen here.

I am counting on the SEC and Big 12 beat the hell out each other within their respective conferences.

I saw a replay of the game on Friday

I saw it on a big screen so I could really pick up the holding the OSU front line was doing just about all OSU players were doing this (grabing under the chest collar and finishing with grabing the bottom of face mask, thats why Spiecer slap osu players helmet) and also CB on osu did the same on 17 when they called 17 for holding on Johnsons long run.
But still they won and we lost no other way to look at it, that Turf sucks two time in a row.
