McNeal/Perry Update

From The DN...

Recruit Curtis McNeal, a tailback from Venice High School, informed the university that he successfully completed required summer courses and awaits approval from the NCAA Clearinghouse before he attempts to enroll at USC.

However, there is no guarantee McNeal will be cleared because he needed to complete four courses and receive high enough grades to overcome his low SAT score. The clearinghouse is expected to review his transcripts later this week.

Meanwhile, USC recruit Nick Perry, a defensive end from Detroit, took an Internet examination on Friday. If he passed, he could get cleared this week. Perry failed in his previous attempt two weeks ago.

Lets hope for the best, but at this point I don't hold out much hope.
