Gable back on the field

Just a quick note from the OCR blog.

Tailback C.J. Gable, who had to be carted off the field last Tuesday, returned to practice and showed no ill effects from his sprained left hip and ankle.

Gable was more relieved than anything after missing almost all of last season because of a strained abdomen that required surgery.

“That was in my head,” Gable said. “I didn’t want that to happen. I didn’t want to watch another season, ever again.”

Gable said the hip is worse than the ankle but that neither affects his running. The next test is Tuesday, when the Trojans practice in full pads.

I didn't know what to think after I read about his injury, I feared the worst about the hip because anything could have happened there. I'm glad that this was nothing more than tweak and nothing major.

Great to have him back!
