TWO THINGS
First, did you read any of BN’s “Neuheisel’s Promise” ? (saying all that with a straight face AND THEN having those dorks actually write it down to repeat it? with the all inclusive “all of us” BS? Cracking the f_ck up, I was! Truly, I am more than impressed at how moronic they are over there)
2ndly, there was another “Trojan Waters” fanpost. Weird one. On the one hand they accuse ‘SC of being stupid enough to “buy” a rowing that can’t compete, then on the other: they say that fucla “does it” too with their tennis teams. So. . . .fielding a “bought” tennis team is BETTER than not fielding a “bought” rowing team? What’s that? I guess tennis brings in more revenue or prestige? I honestly don’t get it. The whole “impressive moron” factor in full force. Again.

I saw it...
If true I thought it was a little cheesy on SC’s part.
If you have something to counter their argument post it up!

Yeah, you have a point
What? You don’t have a Latvian-rower-houseboy getting THE BEST education in Los Angeles? Or, a tennis-playing French nanny on California welfare obtaining a French literature degree at Le Conte Tech and Letters?
(hey, I’ve been researching a Slick Rick expose’ ??? sprinkled with a Norm Chow ego page burner? any interest in that?)

It's not that the tennis team is bought
It’s that many of the players are international. I think this happens a lot in the smaller sports. The last time UCLA won the NC in mens tennis the opposing coach made a big deal about it. Al Scates has also accused BYU of using professional volleyball players on a few occasions.

Paragon. . . .your words are SO TRUE!
Not to take too much away from your thunder, but your bold, should be changed to “Talk is a 1/4-page cheap” because. . . . . . that’s all ucla could afford. It’s on page D4 of today’s sports LA Times Sports section.
Hell, even “VitaminWater” (sponsor’s of USA Olympic Team) spent a whole-page ad in the Beijing 2008 section of the same sports section.
Insecure? Perhaps. Believing what they’re drinking? No way. Not a chance.

I agree
talk is cheap. But really now…. what are they going to say.
“We really don’t think we are going to win this year, because our O-line looks like swiss cheese and all our QBs are broken, but hey maybe in a few years we will be competitive.”
Neu is throwing down a gauntlet not because he disrespects USC, but because he has to say these things. He has to show that he wants to change the tone down in westwood. You have to admit, he is pulling down a lot of media attention and PR for ucla that was non-existent under Karl Dorrell.

This will make a great T-shirt.....
I understand that they probably told Neuheisel that he was encouraged to bring some excitement and enthusiasm back, which he is good at. But, seriously, this is nothing but great t-shirt fodder for the game which should be a 60-point ass whuppin’. But, if you don’t believe it will happen for UCLA, then you shouldn’t be trying. So, I respect that. But, still want a USC t-shirt mocking this ad.

and, the T-shirt only needs this add with a big “NOT” inserted into the statement. Can’t wait to see what the game day entrepreneurs come up with.

Or something that reads:
Pete -—> Go Straight To the Pro Ranks (where you won’t be a Westwood nuisance anymore)
Rick -—> Go Straight To Jail (your shenanigans have finally caught up with you. finally)
*Bonus Card: Get out of jail free- Mexico is only a few hundred miles away!
*Bonus Card: Stay in college coaching. President Sample has DEEP POCKETS

Spoken like a true Bruin-basher!
Love your stuff over at EDSBS and SMQ, Holly! You’re a legend!
And I’d like to continue to charm you up, however- I just can’t seem to get myself to root for your beloved Vols. Something like a SEC – PAC 10 thing-a-ma-bob. We (PAC 10) don’t receive much respect for anything we do, so I’m gonna have to root for the Bruins. Sounds weird, I know. But . . . .it is what it is. (got lots of Bruin friends. Don’t laugh. I really and truly do. They’re not all BN-moronic-minded. They’re actually quite civil and well-mannered.)
Thanks for stopping by. Come back and visit again soon. (The “legend” part, I sincerely mean. Digging your show, like- forever!)

Oh hell no
I’m on record as saying that conference allegiance doesn’t trump rivalries. I’ll make lame Phat Phil Phulmer jokes along with everyone else, but I’ll be working on my Rocky Top rendition for Labor Day weekend.
And it has nothing to do with the fact that Holly was the source of my favoritest mix of the year, oh no.

I don't hate UCLA. Just their bloggers.
But I live just north of USC campus, so my allegiances swing that way, when they swing at all in the Pac-10.

Yes Their bloggers
The majority of them is kind of funny because they are so jealous of USC that it pretty much is in every post they need to get a life.
