Doctors said tailback C.J. Gable suffered a strained hip and his ankle felt better today. USC coach Pete Carroll said Gable might return in a couple days
That is great news!
I knew that one of things they would look for on the MRI was any sort of injury to the hip itself like the one Bo Jackson had. The femoral neck region of the hip while one of the strongest bones in the body doesn't always do well with those type of traumatic injuries.

I hope that is accurate news. He laid on the ground for a few minutes, was carted off, and walking gingerly on crutches later….and he could be back in a few days??? Well, thank goodness it doesn’t look like something more serious. If he’s sore at all, hold him out of UVA. We need a healthy CJ this year and he was primed for a big year. CJ and Stafon were going to be a 2-headed monster I believe with JoeMc getting all the H-back stuff. Fight on, CJB!
