Brice Butler and those arms....
I was watching the video on wearesc that was recently posted showing the 7 on 7 drills from Tuesday. On it they showed a short clip of Brice Butler running a short route and catching a pass. The thing that immediate jumps out at you is just how LONG Brice's arms look. It came as no surprise to me that the team has already given Brice the nickname, "spider arms".
I tried doing a search on Brice to see if his wingspan was listed anywhere and a quick google search shows a quick blurb from Rivals that seems to indicate that his wingspan is 6'10!!!! I can't be positive because I don't have a premium membership but that would seem to make sense with what everyone is saying (there's another article that came up where Brice was quoted as saying that when he is standing straight up, he can "almost" touch his knees).
Obviously it's just speculation (and maybe wishful thinking) at this point but man, think what kind of jump balls a WR with a 6'10 wingspan can grab. Here's to some sick grabs from Mr. Butler in the years to come.
Go SC!

Just his name. . . .
. . . . .alone? Brice Butler: a friggin badass in some form or fashion. Real badass.
USC could use a few more of those, TO ADD TO THEIR FARM SYSTEM. But based on last year’s receiving stats, I say put this “m-f-ing football badass” on the field if his play in practice warrants it. Turner and Hazleton got some youngins’ breathing down their necks for play. Butler and Shoemate look for real. Shoemate’s got two-way starter written all over him.
PC’s recruiting classes? Keep it coming.
speaking of shoemate
he was also on that video. For some reason I didn’t think he was that big. Guy looked yoked for sure. I could easily see him going to defense if he can’t find his niche within the stable of crowded running backs.
Heard about DJ's defensive prowess. . . .
. . . over at Roll Bama Roll earlier this year. Apparently, young Mr. Shoemate single-handedly shut down every top-rated receiver at some Florida summer camp back in ‘O7. The one receiver who got the worst of DJ Shoemate’s reign of defensive terror was none other than Julio Jones (PC wanted this guy badly).

Scratch that!
Oooops! I had the wrong J. It was TJ Bryant and not DJ Shoemate that locked-down Julio Jones at that Florida camp.
