Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Yeah, good luck with that!

Sounds like this guy is bored.

Try as I might, there was no news this week about my favorite potential illegal recruit from USC, who could single handedly bring down and entire college basketball program. I wonder what L.A. Times O.J. Mayo beat writer Ben Bolch did with all his free time this week?

Mayo is going to single handedly take down USC basketball? Based on what? Can we have a little more than just the word of disgruntled former drug dealer who was also allegedly involved in breaking the rules. I like Louis Johnson all of a sudden found religion in his wanting to look out for OJ while at the same time trying to clean up the sport.

Right…all of a sudden Johnson's benevolent? True or not the ONLY reason he opened his mouth is because he is losing out on a payday!

Its a bit damning

When an ESPN reporter calls a cell phone registered to Guilory, and OJ Mayo answers it. I’m not aware of any of Johnson’s allegations that have been proved false.

Don't disagree...

but up to this point that has been the only thing that has come out.

and not to be sarcastic but this is basketball we’re talking about, a sport that most SC fans, including me, hardly gave the time of day. its not like there is this great tradition that is going to be ruined.

True

I happen to be in the minority of SC fans that give the time of day to basketball. I would be very disappointed if the team has to endure sanctions.

Momentum

Even if Mayo did take money, the basketball program will take a hit but it will won’t “single handedly bring down and entire college basketball program.”

I really think that USC’s basketball program is on the upswing evidenced by Pruitt and Young getting drafted to the NBA, the construction of the Galen Center, recruiting Mayo and lets not forget Demar Derozan’s future as a Trojan for the class of 2008. However that future remains to be seen.
