Terrelle Pryor decides... and a nation exhales

"If everyone's here, University of Ohio State."

With those (ahem) words and nary a Hummer limo or an excess of hair product in sight, this year's next-great-thing in the world of hs qbs made his commitment to "Coach Tress," igniting a wave of enthusiasm in Columbus and a wave of nausea in Ann Arbor. Rich Rodriguez can finally stop texting TP and start texting any one else who might be able to run his spread offense at UM. No doubt TP's dismissal of Penn State with "I don't like that place" will also guarantee him a warm welcome in Happy Valley next year. Meanwhile, I'm sure PC and company will make sure TP gets the same kind of welcome to cfb when he comes to visit the Trojans as last year's golden boy, Jimmy Clausen, got in South Bend.

Warm welcome?
Somehow I doubt that Cheatypants McSweatervest is going to put Pryor in the line of fire as early as the USC - tOSU game. You never know, though.

I get the impression that Buckeye fans are looking at that as a sort of test case for how well they'll do for the season. The phrase "defensive slugfest" is the one that comes to mind.

Defensive slugfest possible
And then TP comes in for Boeckman... he's their Tebow, DC - according to the internets.

For a kid
that hasn't played a down of college football, people are making a big fuss over him.  High school QB's are notorious for not living up to their potential.  Just ask Notre Dame.

we don't even need to go that far...
Todd Marinovich. I mean, come on. No blunt or bicycle too small for the Pied Piper of Capistrano Valley High School.

Think he is in jail
Todd M. is a total waste of talent, and a tragedy.

Just goes to show..
... that sometimes it really is better to ignore your children so they can do their own thing. Also, that it's not really healthy to use their lives as a second chance to correct everything you did wrong.
