BREAKING...Sarkisian to be named head coach at UW

Just saw it on ESPN

More as I get it...

UPDATE

Hee is the link from ESPN's Joe Schad

Southern Cal offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian will be named Washington coach, multiple sources told ESPN's Joe Schad on Thursday night.

Sarkisian, who was quarterback at BYU, led the Cougars to a 13-1 finish in 1996. He has been the offensive coordinator at USC for two seasons. He was a up for the Raiders head coaching job last year before it went to fellow USC assistant Lane Kiffin, who earlier this week was named head coach at Tennessee.

Texas Tech coach NMike Leach and Fresno State coach Pat Hill also interviewed for the job.

best hire ever...

I’m sorry, but Sark and Lane were terrible offensive coordinators who wasted the best talent in the country. Hopefully Pete hires someone who knows how to make everything click.

At USC we're not snobs, we're just better than you.

I'm not heartbroken over it

But it will be interesting to see where things go from here. Time to install the A-11 guys!

Whoa!

I was gonna say:

What TrojanCBB said.
What Laughing Stock said.
What Bruins102 said (to a point)

Not what frak said. That’s some funny sh_t!

I can’t believe the U of Washington would hire Sark over Leach. I think Leach has proven himself time and again his organization and expertise at running a top-notch Div I football team. In the Big 12! He’s loony from time to time, but his intent and purpose cannot be questioned. Sark’s carried a clipboard and watched movies for the past 5 years at one of the finest institutions in America. He looks good though, following in footsteps. Something he should try of NOT WORK on when following Coach Willingham’s-es.

Hire me!

I know I can draw up better plays in the sand than Sark, or maybe they should hire NESTOR?
