Why do we not hear more from USC?
Yes I am a Texas fan that feels like he is getting screwed by the system, but I wonder why I do not hear from the 7 other schools that in my oppinion (yes I know they are like butt-holes) have a real gripe? USC, Texas, Texas Tech, Penn St, Utah, and Boise St have just as good a gripe as anyone else. I am just curious on why we dont hear from you all on this subject. I hope you keep it clean and dont be jerks. Lets leave that to Sooners and Bruins!
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Conquest Chronicles' writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Conquest Chronicles' writers or editors.

It really doesn't Matter
To me it’s not that important if they win a national championship, just watching Usc football and basketball makes my day. Sure I care about winning and losing but you really can’t control that it is their sport not ours. I have played sports all my life and if it wasn’t for them I would have probably gone the ways of some of my boyhood friends. So all in all I don’t really care about who is the best team by rankings or championships, I just know no matter what my team is the best for me.
Thanks for listening!

Maybe if Mack Brown went on TV and wept and pleaded and whored himself out like he did in the final days of 2005 Texas would find itself in one of the top two positions.
I’m just saying …
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Yup! Just checked it twice, to be sure. . . . .
. . . . .and I can now state – without hesitation- LEMILES didn’t say ANYTHING about Golden Bears. (pssst: I think it was the “Golden” part that had me confused?)
Yo SoCalOski- what the . .?
Whatever happened to the “keep it clean” and “don’t be jerks” part? (OUCH! that’s an: 0 for 3, if I ever saw one) <l ; -)

Naw man! You're "INVERTED" . . . . .(see below)
You struck HIM out! And, “I’m just sayin’ " back where I come from. . . .they call that a: K.”T".F.O ! (Knock-The-F_ck-Out) What? Yeah, I’m talkin’ baseball. . . . . . or that movie, “Friday”? Yet, still. I digress.
You see:
Strike One: LEMILES thought only The Sooners and Bruins would circle jerk this fanpost. Ladies, I give you: The California Golden Bears! (smooches and congratulations SoCalOski!)
Strike Two: Clean? You say clean? Listen Mr. Britches! What say you, “whored himself out”??? Huh? Huh? (let’s bruin-shuffle this, shall we?) What? How? Where? What?
And the survery said! STRIKE TWO!
Strike Three: And what of “one of the top two positions” ? . . . By following up “whore” with “top two positions” ???? A bit dodgy, don’t you think? Dude, steeee-riiiiiike 3 !
SoCal! (please. . . infer from this my overly retarded “trying to be funny” affliction. hey! . . . . i’m tryin’ over here!) You’re “ACES” in my book Champ! (this year. . .)

Ahhhh, Bix, Bix, Bix
I get the feeling you’ve been over-indulging in some non-linear narrative lit over the t-day weekend. No problem, a few blue & gold pills will bring you back down to earth.
Though, honestly, putting me in the same class as either a bruin or sooner …. that’s just low, man. You’re better than that.
And lastly … come on, it’s Mack Freaking Brown! That guy should be staked down and repeatedly kicked in the nuts on general principle. Sorry, I have no sympathy for Texas, especially when they come crying over to other places trying to dredge sympathy.
I’m just sayin’ ….
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

You're holding back, I just know it!
C’mon my good man. Why don’t you just tell us how YOU REALLY FEEL regarding the whole Texas, and Mack Brown, and the 2005 Rose Bowl. You’re blue-ballin’ SoCalOski. I mean, you’re “giving it to us” man. . . . .BUT. . . .you’re NOT giving it to us. ????
Go on. Tell us, friend. What ails you? Breathe.

You don't even know on the "non-linear lit" scheit!
I’m reading “Poincare’s Prize” by George G. Szpiro. The Poincare Conjecture? (hint: multi-dimensional head twister !! To the tenth power)
I got linear and the non kind in spades, lately.
Nailed it! (however let’s not exclude Single-malt Scotch! Got to be something in there for THAT)

#1 in both polls in 2003 and left out of the big game
That was the ultimate BCS foulup in my opinion. I guess the reason why I’m not griping about not making it to the championship game is that I believe we don’t deserve a shot over the big-12 champ this year. Texas, and Oklahoma both have a legitimate gripe, but thanks to the weak Pac-10, the Trojans never really got a chance to test their mettle against other top notch teams. We may be the best team in the land, but alas we will never know for sure. Here at USC we are used to getting screwed. I’ve heard that this year a lot of fans feel that karma is catching up to Texas for their Rose Bowl stunt in 2004. I feel sorry for the Longhorns. Its too bad that Texas can’t play Oklahoma for the Big 12 title.

Weak Pac-10...
and the losses to UCLA, Stanford, OSU :-)
But yes, 2003 was a messed up year for the BCS & USC… like 2004 was for Auburn.
This is gonna be an exciting weekend for football!!!

Yeah I agree
a one or two loss pac-10 team doesn’t have much of a shot. We lost early, and it doesn’t really matter in the long run. As far as Auburn 2004 is concerned, I don’t know too many people outside of Alabama that thought they would beat USC that year. The way the Trojans were blowing people out I’m fairly confident that we could have taken care of Auburn, but again we will never know for sure.

I can't and never will feel sorry for the Longhorns!
Some, in my family – came to America (we’re from Chile) by way of Texas. The following weekend of our loss to Texas in the BCS Championship game, my dad bought a Texas cap and sweatshirt from the famed Venice Walk vendors, WHILE I WAS WITH HIM. (EVERYBODY’s a joker in my family, it seems?)
And although Texas has a bee-autiful cloudless night sky, can’t stand anything from Texas as far as I can throw it. Buncha big hat, no cattle people. To me, is all. Hate ’em!

If I remember correctly
Cal proved they went exactly where they were suppossed to go with the throttling they took from Tech in the Holiday Bowl. They got throttled pretty good in that game.

The Only Gripe I have
Is that SC should be ranked ahead of Florida until Florida beats Alabama. Look at their schedules, and you’ll see that SC has beaten more higher ranked and almost ranked teams than Florida and the losses are equally bad for both teams.

BCS is BS
it’s one of the most arrogant systems in sports. the fans hate it, the coaches hate it, analysts hate it and even president-elect Barack Obama hates it.
that’s why an 8 team play off system in December or January would really clean up how we choose national championships. 4 teams is too few and 16 teams would be too long. Right now it’s such a muddled system as people are still arguing over who won the national championship in 2003 (we did) and we can finally get rid of all those annoying what ifs and hypotheticals.
